Ed,
What type of system is Papyrus envisioning for Hawaii? I'm sure everyone
would be willing to "pay to play" but these phone bills are ***. Will
the actual system allow connection through a local phone #?
At E3 last month, we announced the future for Hawaii... NASCAR has
sanctioned us as their 13th & newest division -- the NASCAR Racing
League. "Hawaii" is the prototype for NRL.
NRL will use NASCAR Racing 2 which is due out this Christmas. It will
feature the user pickup races & user created series races that Hawaii
now offers. It will also feature fully sanctioned NRL series races.
Without getting into all of the details, NRL series will be as close
to the other 12 NASCAR divisions as possible Users will actually join
NASCAR & become licensed drivers. NRL series will be run like Winston
Cup
We ave not announced specifics about NRL yet... like pricing, release
date, "how to connect", etc. However, you can feel pretty confident
that we will have local access number for everyone.
The complete press release for NRL & NASCAR Racing 2 can be found at
NASCAR.COM & SIERRA.COM.

Again, I can't get into specifics, but we will most likely be using
some other ISP's network backbone. Therefore, the location of local
access numbers and the availability of an 800 substitute (and the
surcharge for any 800 number) is a function of the ISP.
With that said, I think you'll be OK in Dayton.

Alright Ed. Now the real question. WHEN??!! How has the Beta test been
going? Are there still bugs with mulitplayer, or are you still trying
to work out details with the ISV (they can be a *** huh?)?? I'm not
sure how much longer I can spend $150 a month to run this deal.
PLEASE GIVE US A HINT OF A DATE.

Yeah, Ed, but will I be okay in Utah? :-)
(Hoping that the ISP doesn't still have 2400 baud as their highest
throughput)

So, same plan as every year then. Game comes out in the US before the

through my letter box 2 wks before Xmas, just before I go home for a
