I realize that most people use ICR2 now, but perhaps someone has a
suggestion to make.
I have a 486 DX-2 66 with 12 MB of RAM.
Indycar 1 crashes on me every so often after about 15 minutes of driving
time or so and says "Syntax Error". The screen moves upward and what
appears to be hexadecimal numbers flash across the screen.
I do have one other problem also. I can't seem to get my sound card
(Adlib 16) to use speech anymore. I do get sound from Indycar, but not
Paul Page's initial voice.
I have tried using a minimal autoexec.bat and config.sys file, but this
didn't solve the problem. I have tried changing DMA and IRQ-channels as
well, but that didn't help either.
Any ideas???
