I believe you were there at that time. Dan

Personally I have heard a lot of complaints about IVGA members and there attitude lately. They seem to be getting a little too arogant. I am also a member of IVGA and I appreciate all the work that Don and the other organizers have done, their work has made sim racing more enjoyable for everyone. I am concerned about the unsportsman like conduct of other IVGA drivers. My buddy was taken out by a guy who claimed to be an "IVGA winston cup pro" because he did not deserve to be in the lead because he got around everyone in a first turn accident. I have also heard from another friend that the IVGA winston guys can't even get around the track under yellow without taking each other out. I will be the first to admit that this info is second hand but I just want to remind all my fellow IVGA members to try and show some common courtesy and some sportsmanship. After all its only a game. I think Don runs a great organization and I hate to see a couple of dorks making everyone else involved in IVGA look bad. -- J Mark Piscitelli

Yes, Both IVGA_Winston races run so far have been plagued with yellows, but don't blame this on quality of drivers. We aren't the best on the net, no. We aren't the worst on the net either. Just 24 drivers that signed up. Many of our online mishaps have been created by lost connections at REALLY BAD MOMENTS, or situations where fast drivers have made a great effort to follow the rules, but made poor judgement in doing so. Examples are, When the pole sitter loses his connection just as the green flag flys a pileup began. This was probably worse than it should have been. The "Stay behind ##" message appears just after you cross the start/finish line. What do you do? Do you obey it and cause a pile up, or do you go on. If that message remains on the screen when you cross the start/finish line again, you will be black flagged. Responsibility lies on the part of everyone on the track to makes sure incidences don't occur. But until everyone on the track knows the limitations of the simulator and knows how to react appropriately to the problems, there will be incidents. We all want to win, and some of us put aside reasoning too early in the race. It is very difficult to keep from pushing your car forward a little closer to the car in front of you on the pace lap because we don't want to lose a spot on the start to the car behind us. It is within the rules, it just isn't wise to do so. Rules online will need to be enforced differently. Racing at the drop of the green flag should only be allow very late in the race. All other restarts should be "slow, let's all of us get up to speed starts". Probably about 2 laps. Since the simulator is under full control of the race, we can't black-flag someone for violating these ground rules. When NASCAR starts NRL, I wonder how they will handle things. >Yes, Both IVGA_Winston races run so far have been plagued with yellows, >but don't blame this on quality of drivers. Well, I have to say I had my doubts after the C***te race, but I think we proved 'em wrong last night. The IVGA Winston Cup drivers raced at Martinsville last night. 17 cars started a 146 lap race and 16 cars finished, only 1 DNF, and I suspect that one was for handling problems, because I saw him pull into the pits. There were 6 cars on the lead lap at the finish, and 4 different drivers led the race. There was a lot of door-to-door racing and very few mistakes made. I was impressed by the sportsmanship, particularly by the lapped traffic, who frequently pulled over to let the front runners race each other. I sat there and watched the replay last night, from start to finish, jumping around to different cars and camera angles, just soaking up the action. It was a great race, in fact, the best I've had with that many drivers involved. I have only one more thing to say: WOW! Dave "davids" Sparks Sequoia Motorsports
