Only a few:
1. Talladega redesign--PLEASE!!!
2. Two lap qualifying on short tracks, and at C***te
3. How about a "move over" flag when you're running slow and the leaders are
coming up on you. The "move over" flag is blue, with a yellow diagonal
stripe.
4. Red and black flags displayed at the end of practice
5. A rolled up yellow flag as part of the "One Lap to Green" signal
6. Crossed, rolled up flags (white and "move over") at the halfway point of a
race.
That's all

For multiplayer, if we switch to two qualifying laps, that means the time
spent waiting to race is longer. Since everybody is working with the same
number of laps, and the real action begins when the green flag drops, my
inclination is to make the qualifying time as short as possible and get on
with the racing. If we've got it wrong, we'll be glad to review this
choice.
In the MULTI update, you can now select an F2 view which shows your
relative track position, including a color coded display of racers a lap up
on you (in RED), and a lap down (in GREEN). Just hit the <Enter> key while
you're in the F2 view to get this display. Seems to make it a lot easier
to keep up with what's going on around you on the track.

: where some people have one version of the track & some have the other. We
: could force a download of the revision, but then only Hawaii people would
: have it. It's not THAT big of a deal, but...
Well, there is a simple solution to this. I remember a Papyrus rep
saying that there would be a patch to NASCAR which would incorporate the
easy yellow situation once the HAWAII version got this sorted out. It
would be a HUGE welcome for us Long Distance challenged racers to
receive a patch that incorporates some of the improvements you have
implemented (i.e., stopping repairs in the pits, yellow flags for
"bumping & rubbin'", etc.). When you release this patch you can patch
the qualifying laps in the track.txt file.
Please Please Please, I'm on my bended knees!

Well, obviously Pat and I are not screaming for this during the beta,
but once you get the Multiplayer software (which I assume is NASCAR 2
in beta?) in sellable form, these items would be key. I mean, I am
assuming that the new version of NASCAR, multiplayer or v2, would be a
full product and not just a patch to the old version. You're right,
it would not be worth it unless you significantly altered or updated
the track code for EACH track (which NEEDS to be done on several
tracks).
Again, if we can see this in NASCAR 2, we'll be happy. We're patient
as heck if we know for sure that it will be in there some day.. ;-)

I would think that for most tracks, the increase in time would be
negligible, it takes less than 30 seconds to make a circuit on most tracks,
except the road courses. I usually finish my qual with over 2 minutes left
in the session anyway. The biggest problem is educating the users, there
are still guys who don't finish the 2nd lap at Dega and hold up the field
for the full qual time.
I've haven't been on the system since Monday night, and I'm going through
withdrawal pains. Just couldn't convince my wife to let me drag my computer
with me on vacation here in Hawaii. <sigh>
