Hi, When doing some Nascar modem racing, who should call whom? I have a 486/66 and the other system is a Pentium 100. Should the slower PC dialup the faster PC or should the faster PC dial up the slower one? Tankz in advance! Joe Ledva

The fastest machine should answer, because the one that answers is actually the one controlling the sim. Michael ----------- #42, #43.... Someday, Pontiacs will rule... Hey, it's my dream!! :)

I have seen no difference in the performance of my computer nor has my dad on his, when I call him or he calls me. Alan

The "answering" computer has to do more work. Weyr

I can't remember where, but I've read the faster machine should play host. We've also found it works better this way. So, no matter where I read it, it seems to be true. Sorry, the calls will be on your bill. ; ) "You can't be a Real Country unless you have a BEER and an airline--it helps if you have some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a BEER." -Frank Zappa
