I have a P166/16mb 256kPipeCache with a 2mb Matrox Millennium on the way. Anyone have any details to relate i.e. frame rates, detail, etc. How is it with ICR2? Any config problems? Thanks, Allan ****Senna forever*****

None, whatsoever. ICR2 with SVGA, all the details on except road texture, 32 cars in front -> 25-30fps NASCAR, same deal, 38 cars in front -> 20-15fps. Of course, I have the OEM NASCAR that shipped with my Millennium. -- Henrikki (Hena) Hakkanen Tel. ?(9)0-345 5538 -------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: Opinions expressed here are mine and does not necessarily reflect those of my employer!

Just curious. I have a Compaq P133 w/ Matrox Millenuim MGA 4mb RAM. Whenenver i try to run anything requiring SVGA I get the error message CANT LOAD SVGA. VESA NOT LOADED? I tried UNIVBE, this didn't help. I put the card in my other computer and got the same error. Now I replaced the Matrox w/ a trio and it works fine, so I have a MGA 4mb paperweight here at the house. COMPAQ told me to laod some drivers, from MATROX (which don't even recognize the card. MATROX said they don't give support to MAtrox cards in Compaq computers, because they "do something to them". Any suggestions? Los

My Millenium is a *great* card...screaming Windows performance, great DOS performance...new drivers have come out (at least 3 times) which I've never had any trouble loading or using. I'd say go back to Compaq on the situation; maybe try the card in a friend's computer, and see if it works there. Failing that, I can send you my snail mail address, and you can give it to me!! :) -- Meek and obedient you follow the leader down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel.. I got my Millenium from a friend who works for a company that builds networkd for businesses, last October. He says that Matrox is only now shipping cards that were ordered back in October(I have the only one they ever received). That in mind, there are very few cards in machines nationwide, leaving technical support from non-Matrox people shaky at best. Further, my friend who installed the card and set up my machine said that Compaq(just like another favorite, packard Bell), sets up their boards in a half-assed way and has problems with many cards and peripherals accepting its proprietary standards. That said, the card will probably work perfectly in another computer. Good luck getting anywhere with Compaq. Rob -- *Rob Cornelius "Ported box, yeah. Punch 200, 500 watts, * *Ohio University Boom!
