Ah, the dreaded 'Waiting for Remote'. Does this always happen, or only
with certain modem opponents. You usually get this message when someone
has a problem with their Modem Init String. If you can connect fine to
some opponents, then more than likely the problem does not lie at your
end. If however you can never connect, then you may want to check your
own string. Also, check the speed you have the modem set to. For some
reason, I can't use my USR Sportster 28.8 to connect at 28.8 (19.6 and
lower connect fine).
