Took me a little while to figger out that I gotta let off the throttle a little bit (maybe about half way) when I get into the turns. Once you get through the first 3rd of the turns you can pretty much go full throttle again and keep your pedal to the metal (or plastic, or linolium, or what have you).

You mean with the Indycars at Talledega, right? I had that problem at first. The only way to get around the corner at speed is to start up very high. almost at the wall, hold it there a bit longer than you would for a "gradual" Nascar turn, and then dive low into the turn fairly sharply. You only get the one chance to pick your line, if you miss you can't easily correct with steering without slowing down. Using this technique I've been able to do that corner without getting below 242 MPH! Joe
: I had that problem with my indycar. Took me a little while to figger out : that I gotta let off the throttle a little bit (maybe about half way) : when I get into the turns. : Once you get through the first 3rd of the turns you can pretty much go : full throttle again and keep your pedal to the metal (or plastic, or : linolium, or what have you). That's sorda the way the "real" guys do it. As soon as you see a straight line ahead of you, from you car to the inside of the corner that you are going through, and to the outside of the straight ahead. Same thing on slowing down into the turn. That straightens out the turn. Go to your favorite road course and see how they brake, and how they accelerate. I know how to do it, but doing it right is another story... :-) \|\_|\__/| | /||_| \/ |/\|
