You got it! I'm not black but have worked second shift and drive at
3:00am regularly and get pulled over way more than during the day. Cops
will find any reason to pull you over. Boy do I feel sorry for black
people in big cities, what a bunch of shit!
Do cops have to have a phycological profile done before they become cops?

We have all had our runins with the pigs! They treat everyone as though
they are guilty regardless of the situation. When you need them they don't
show up. When you could care less about them, they arrest you. I had some
crazy drunk drugged up %^^&*%&$ show up at my front door and threatin to
kill me and my wife. So I call the cops and do they give a shi*? Of course
not!!! They didn't show up. I finally called them back to see what the
deal was and they said they were too busy that night to help me. They need
10 cops just to pull over some innocent driver and to hel* with those truly
in need of help. I now own several handguns and I will use them if
necessary. Your only protection is your own protection. I really think the
cops are afraid to do their job "To protect and serve". Its more like to Be
a menace and give out tickets instead of risk their neck to help people.I've
seen more cops pulling people over, myself included, and heard of more cases
like my own where they don't show up when a citizen is in need. Maybe
taking the law into our own hands is not such a bad idea!!! VIGALANTE

Ditto and that's more reason to have reasonable and rational speed
limits. Today, the police have an automatic excuse to pull over
anyone they want on any Interstate in the northeast with a 55 speed
limit. EVERYONE drives over the 55 limit, so the police can
profile any qroup they want and they simply pull anyone in that
group over on the speeding pretetxt.

Oh, do they?
I was pulled over in the City of Rochester in a '71 Duster I'd just
bought - I was driving it home. The inspection had expired (I hadn't
noticed). The officer politely asked for license and reg, asked where
I was coming from and where I was going. I explained that I'd just
bought the car, showed him the signed-over reg and the bill of sale.
"OK," he said, "you're inspections out. Just get that taken care of
before you drive the car again." Then he complimented the car and let
me off on my merry way.
The only ticket I ever got was for a broken headlight, but I was
nice, after all, the headlight was broken, and I did know about it.
The cop also gave me a form giving me 24 hours to get it fixed and get
any cop to sign. I put the new headlight in, got the form signed, and
was done with it. Yes, it was a bit of an annoyance - but lets face
it, the officer was right.

You are one of the lucky ones!! Seriously, I have never been pulled over or
checked and NOT given a ticket. My statements may have been a bit strong,
but I'm very pissed off with the way I have been treated. I also realize
that not all cops are bad cops, but some of them worry me though. A similar
situation but with a different end: I was driving my 1967 Plymouth
Barracuda, which at the time had glasspacks on it, and was stopped for
careless driving. The cop said he saw me racing the car and almost
completely lose control coming around a corner. Funny thing, the roads were
very icy that nite and I did hit a slick spot coming around a corner but I
barley even slid into the other lane which did not have any traffic at the
time, and got things back in controll instantly. Have you ever tried
driving a built up big block with a high speed stall converter and a
posi-track rearend around an icy corner? I would not have driven the car at
all but my normal everyday driver (1972 Dart) was previously demolished by
some idiot that ran a stopsign and hit me, and I was too young to get a
loner from the insurance company. That's another story!! So anyway, he
ticketed me for careless driving. I know that because the car was on the
loud side from the glass packs, and a bit overbuilt for icy streats that it
probably looked to him that I was racing. I've been accused of that several
times just sitting at an idle. The only place I ever reced that car was at
the local drag strip and at a long straight street out in the middle of
nowhere that has been used for dragracing a-lot. I admit I may have broke
the speeding law on occasions but not any different than someone in a pinto
might. I'd be careful if I were you, your turn is probably just around the
corner.

Don't feel bad, my friend got a ticket for an "unsafe start" in an
'83 Sentra.
Of course, he'd just smoked the tires...
Dunno if they'll go after me...the Duster in question was a Slant
Six, and the Polara's got a little 318...so I should be able to putter
on undetected. :)

Here's me driving my father's Mercedes-Benz 560SEL home from a wedding,
it's night, top's down, I'm young-looking in a tux, listening to 'Jesus Built
My Hotrod' from Ministry. Got pulled over for, (head scratch) weaving, I think.
Funny- the last beer (of the three I had) was about seven hours ago.
After reciting the alphabet from 'X' down, with one leg in the air, I
decided never to drive the car again in that goddamn town....
