Well, I got the demo installed and running, and the Logitech Momo
wheel/pedal setup works great! I ran a 4:02.87 on the Harwood Forest
stage last night. Now I need to find another 10 seconds!
The problem is with the navigator's voice. All the other sounds come
through loud and clear, but the pacenotes cut in and out like a digital
cell phone call with a weak signal. As a result, when a sharp corner
appears, I'm not ready for it, and I'm losing a lot of time sliding to
scrub off speed because I start the turn too late.
Anybody know what might be causing just the voice to cut in and out?
I'm running AMD XP 3000+ with WinXP service pack 1 on a generic mobo
with generic on-board sound, and an ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128meg.
