I am running NASCAR 1.2?? (The one that comes with the Track Pack)
and only at Talladega, I can't take the pole! Heck, I can't take
anything! The standings show me at the rear of the pack with an
average time of 193mph. I should be up front. Has anyone else seen
this?

I also have the track pack and have a setup that puts me in the 196 m.p.h.
zone but i always get put last on the field. I've tried upping my
competitors to 110% to make the speeds cliser but it just doesn't matter.
If I'm fast enough to be on the pole, it starts me last every time.

You need to do one more lap around Tally for the lap time to take effect.
The better of your two laps will be counted for qualifying.
Mike
You have to run TWO laps at Talledega to qualify.

At Talladega, qualifying is two laps. After the warmup lap, you should get
a green flag. On the next lap, you should get a white flag. On the second
qualifying lap you will get a checkered flag. If you don't complete that
last lap, you'll end up last in the field.
