I have just tried Fatal Racing, I was completely disappointed.
I wonder if the Gremlin developers ever tried their own products.
The frame rates were low even in VGA mode running on a Pentium 133 with
32 Mb of RAM.
The cars are also hard to handle, and behaves illogically. The tracks are
stupidly designed.

Let's hope Screamer is better eh?
In one of the current PC games mags ( I can't remember which one.. )
they had a graph comparing the relative SVGA mode and VGA mode
performances of a number of the latest games.
Screamer had the best SVGA frames-per-second, The Need For Speed
had the best VGA performance. Note that Fatal Racing came _way_
below the others for both VGA and SVGA modes.
I tried the demo for Fatal Racing on a P133 and while the VGA appeared
smooth, SVGA chugged big time.
Don't touch this game - try Screamer or the forthcoming Demolition
Derby.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like a pile of crap. Maybe that's why it's
called Fatal Racing. Sorta summed up their company's mission in one
software title.
