Nascar Modem problems

1 post by 1 person · 19 Oct 1995 - 19 Oct 1995

Having a problem with Nascar multiplayer mode. I'm using a Micron Millenia P133 with a SoundBlaster AWE 32 card to connect my Gravis joystick. My friend is using a Packard Bell P75 with their soundcard and Gravis joystick. We used to race OK when I had an IBM PS/1 with a cheap game card. We both updated with the Papyrus 1.21 patch. Now my menus roll unless I hit the "J" key before entering multiplayer mode and no matter what I do, I have no steering control. We tried everything we could think of such as me calling him, him calling me, etc. Nothing helps. We replaced the version 1.21 "nascar.exe" file with the one from version 1.2 but nothing changed. Anyone hace any ideas? Could it be the SoundBlaster AWE 32? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mark
