The SSCRA is progressing along in it's season.... if you would like to compete in the inagrial season, respond to this message or e-mail me at Below is the rules for the series... this week, is an off week. Chris Keenan SSCRA Director Simulated Stock Car Racing Association (S^2CRA) Rules v1.10 Last Revised 10-02-95 Rule 1 -- Overview 1.1 S^2CRA is an association that provides a forum for owners of NASCAR Racing by Papyrus [v1.2+] (NRP) to compete against each other around the world. 1.2 S^2CRA is run by used the supplied drivers2.txt file and settings. With this, the competitors run the race and sends his/her results to the director. 1.3 S^2CRA results are based upon how well you compete against the simulator and how those results are compared to other participants. Points are awarded and a series champion is "crowned." Rule 2 -- Setting up NRP for S^2CRA 2.1 S^2CRA can be run from either single race or championship season. (A calendar file will be supplied to those running in Championship season.) 2.2 The "official" drivers2.txt for this series will be sent to you as changed. This file may not be altered except your information, leaving the #95 as it is. 2.2a A complete car set is available, but not required. 2.3 S^2CRA consists of three (3) divisions: Winsten Cup, Busch Grand National, and All Pro. You may run only one (1) race per event. 2.4 You may run any car make you choose, and either tire for a given race. 2.5 You must edit your name in NRP to ensure you receive proper credit. 2.6 Any help may be used, i.e braking and shifting. Rule 3 -- All Pro (AP) division 3.1 The AP division is a "rookie" division. It is designed for those people with little experience a chance to get some. 3.2 AP requires a minimum of 15 opponents and 20% race length. 3.3 AP requires drivers to use a "default" setup. No changes except to wheel lock and fuel may be made. 3.4 No changes may be made to the setup during pit stops. Rule 4 -- Busch Grand National (BGN) Division 4.1 BGN is designed for those drivers with experience, yet need to gain "wisdom". 4.2 BGN requires a minimum of 21 opponents and 40% race length. 4.3 BGN may use any setup they wish. Rule 5 -- Winston Cup (WC) Division 5.1 WC is for those who are ready for that "Sunday Drive". 5.2 WC requires a minimum of 29 opponents and 60% race length. 5.3 WC drivers may use any setup they wish. Rule 6 -- Running your race 6.1 Race settings are mailed to you the Monday prior to the race. To do so, after crossing the finish line, press F1, then pause the game, then press and hold Print Screen. This generates a NASCAR**.PCX file in your NASCAR directory. (From 00 to 05) Rule 7 -- Results 7.1 Upon finishing your race, save your results with the following naming guidelines: Begin it with A if you ran AP, B for BGN, or W for WC, then your first initial, and then the first four digits of your last name. If your last name is less than four letters, repeat the last one until four is reached. 7.3 You should rename the .pcx the same way, leaving the .pcx extension. (Only if you win.) 7.4 Add your Real Name, Internet Address, car make, tire brand, qualifying speed and position to the end of your results file. 7.5a If you win, the series director may require you to submit your .pcx file.
