Hi all, I DL'd the GTR press demo, it installed fine, but the car starts sputtering after 2nd gear and the speed bar blinks like there's something wrong with the engine. I tried fiddling with the settings with no luck. Then I DL'd the newest demo (approx. 200 mb) from two different websites (one a zip file, the other exe). When I tried to install either one I get "Setup file is corrupted." Anyone else have this problem? Tara -- Yager review and screen shots http://users4.ev1.net/~taragem/yager.htm

Check out the controls under options, ideally map it to a button on your wheel. > Then I DL'd the newest demo (approx. 200 mb) from two different > websites (one a zip file, the other exe). The first one I d/l'd was corrupt (Uwe, sup wit dat?) then I went to Boomtown and that one worked. Any of the major d/l sites and you shouldnt have any problems. Mitch "Tara" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

You have to turn off the pit road speed limiter. Try pressing the "L" key if I remember correctly. "Tara" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

There's probably no need to do something that drastic -- sometimes GTR will bind the pit limiter to something goofy without telling you. Try going into the options and resetting the binding to something sensible, like "l", or a wheel button.

It's in the CONTROLS. You probably picked a specific wheel and the key got shuffled off to some wheel button. Look through the joystick settings. The gas/brake/steering...it's in there. dh

You need to scroll down. "Tara" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

In article <_Tmed.9151$[email hidden]>, naman- [email hidden] says... > You need to scroll down. > Yeah, it's not obvious. Even after reading various posts/solutions on this problem I still couldn't find it. Some menus allow you to scroll through them and some don't and the ability to scroll through them isn't obvious. I haven't played GTR for some time and so can't advise you as to what specifics to look for when scrolling, but they are there.

They don't look like buttons just text. then listed from the top are: Acellerate Brake SteerLeft SteerRight ShiftUp ShiftDown Neutral Clutch PitLaneSpeedLimiter <<<======Here it is. no scrolling needed on my 1024rez LCDMode

Weve only had two versions. The first was the Press demo and its Pit Limiter button was under accessories section and required you scroll down (which I believe you have). The actual demo that was released a couple weeks ago the Pit Limiter is on the driving page and you can see it without scrolling. Mitch "Tara" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...
