Hello. A fellow from the University of Maryland asked me twice for acr
setups, and I was late and still am. But, here is some of them.
Loudon-My new favorite track.
Loudon requires automatic braking for anyone who wants to focus on winning
and not racing.I am giving estimates, because my setups don't work,
obviously, with everyone's racing. Go by these estimates and change to
your likings. I automatically start with the ACE car.
Raise the Rear Spoiler a good amount, and raise the front air dam.
Set gear 1 nearly as short as you want. Make it very short though.
Gear 2 should be set over the half point of the 1st gear's number. Perhaps
you have the 1st gear set for 10.00, make the second gear 7.00. If these
were your numbers, make 3rd gear set at 4.50 or near there, and 4th down
at 2.30
Your tires are already set fine with the ACE choice, but I do
reccomend some small changes. (Goodyear tires only) The first change is
the amount of air in each. Give the right side about 5 whatever more. I
don't know what the word is, so I used 'whatever' in it's place. Thats
just it for tires.
Pitting is a challenge at Loudon. The turns are tight and low banked,
so when pitting you must make a much tighter turn than you would a normal
pit. For this reason, I suggest you pit twice if there is a yellow flag.
The first time, fill your gas tank and just get right side changes. Get
out in front of the pace car and then pit the next lap changing your left
side. Tell me if there are any problems.
Bristol-My favorite track before Loudon
Bristol is a tough track to race if you haven't raced on it a considerable
amount before.
I start with the ACE car here also. Raise the Rear spoiler and your front
air dam a considerable amount.
Make your gears VERY short. 1st sould be at only 6.00- 2nd at 4.50, 3rd
at 3.00, and 4th at 2.00
Your tires are fine, its possible to let some air out of your right
side.
More later today. Really, there are.
