F1GP fans, Does anyone have any advice as to the best setup for wet race? For example, say I am using a 60F/42R setup with brakes 9R. I was told to try and equalize the front and rear wings (set them both to 50) and to keep the brakes completely neutral. This does work better than not adjusting the setup at all, but I still don't think it is the optimal setup. Also, what should be done with the gear setups, if anything? I usually leave them the same as the dry setup, but should they be lowered to try and avoid wheelspin? Can't wait til WC2 comes out. Thanks, JD

My suggestion is to setup a understeering car. This way you have a better chance of avoiding losing the car altogether. Use the neutral setting if you are brave enough, otherwise use a bit more rear wing. Also, don't setup the wings too much 'coz it will only hurt your straight line speed. You have to rely on straight roads to overtake, it's scary to out-brake in the corners. |> Also, what should be done with the gear setups, if anything? Setup 1st gear very high. 2nd gear should be further apart than it normally is in the dry setup. Then setup 6th gear to top out its rpm range in the fastest straight (in wet speed of course). Finally place 3rd, 4th and 5th gear proportionally. Preferrably with 5th closer to 6th than 4th is to 5th, than 3rd is to 4th. |> Can't wait til WC2 comes out. Me too. Just wondering what wet races will be like in WC2/F1GP2. -- Isaac Wong | Protel Compiler Group TEL: (613) 763-6127 | Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada
