I keep encountering a problem w/ F1GP which causes my machine to
crash. At apparently random times, but associated with keyboard
action (often in the act of restarting after a long pause), the system
crashes with a blank screen except for the words "PARITY CHECK" in the
top left hand corner of the screen.
This behaviour occurs both on my 486SX laptop (Viglen) and my new P133
(Dell). Microprose said it was a hardware problem and they'd not
heard of it happening with F1GP before, but so far, F1GP has been the
only program to cause this behaviour. I find it rather hard to
believe that I am so unlucky as to get the only two machines in the
world for which it occurs. Has anyone else encountered the problem?
Is there a fix?
