Hello.....
My name is Thomas Selkirk and I am posting this message to
most of the rec.car (and so on type groups) hoping it will lead
me to the answer or answers to my question that is being posted. I am
interested in buying a used car but do want to know the
truth about the vehicle and want to know a good price to offer
for it without somebody saying "OH I WANT 4,000.00 FOR MY CAR"
and then having me buy it and finding out that the car is only
worth 6,000.00 and I must put in 3,000.00 more to fix up the car
making it so if I resell it I lose a profit of $1,000.00..... So
on to the point I am trying to make is I would like to do what
most of the used car salesman do and buy or obtain through the
net a book on actuall pricing of cars called "THE BLUE BOOK" in
this book it tells you buy year and model of car what the actuall
value of the car is...... If I ask a used car dealer where to
obtain the book they would most likely not tell me 'cause I would
then know how much of a markup they put on their cars.... So
what I am getting at here is if somebody could e-mail me at one
of my following addressess and let me know where to obtain a copy
of this book weather I must buy it or download it off the net it
would be a great help..... Then with the book being in my hands
if somebody says they want $5,000.00 for their toyota and it is a
1986 and I look in the book and it is only worth 3,000.00 I will
then offer them 3,000.00 which is the retail value of the car and
then that will leave me with enough money to fix up the car and
re-sell it in due time myself for a profit so....any help would
be greatly greatly appreciated and hopefully I made my message
clear! ...8)
P.S. I live in the Vancouver British Columbia area for anybody
who would like to leave me information on where to buy a copy of
"THE BLUE BOOK" And if it could be found in a file on the
internet in a certain format please e-mail me and leave me the
file name....
Also: "THE BLUE BOOK" is the actuall name of the book and it
states the retail value of all the different types of cars....
I do not read the newsgroups all of the time so it would be more
than greatly appreciated if you know where in the Vancouver
British Columbia area I could buy the book or if you know of the
book being on the internet in a certain format zip tar ect...
please E-mail me as well at one of the following addressess:
Thank You So Very much for your time!!!....8)
THOMAS SELKIRK.......
