Hello, I had a question about qualifying times in general on NASCAR. I set my opponents strength to 90% then attempt to qualify. My fastest ever times on most tracks always puts me in last but during the actual race I usually finish in the top 10 out 35 cars. Is there a bug in which the opponents always qualify at full 100%? Thanks. Alan Sherman

Is there a bug in : which the opponents always qualify at full 100%? Are you using a different setup than your race setup to qualify? I run 2 or 3 gallons of fuel (adds a copule mph), and you don't have to worry about blowing the motor up after prolonged 9000 rpm, so you can remove some spoiler and possible fiddle with the gears. Your qualifying lap time should be considerably better than your average lap time. Hope this might help, Rich : Thanks. : Alan Sherman --

Yes, at least to me it seems that the opponents always qualify at 100%. In the beginning I competed with 100% opponents. When I changed it to 102%, qualifying times did not change at all but races became much harder to win. One annoying thing is that seems that computer cars do not have nearly as much gain from the tailwind of the car in front as the human player does. It is very easy to pass computer cars in straights, but they almost never pass me in straights. /Jouni ------------- Jouni Stenroos Software Engineer Unda Oy a Scitex Company Tel: ?0-5255 8554 Kutojantie 7 Fax: ?0-5255 8585
