Hi!!
Is there any way to win Daytona USA? (at any levels.)
The highest I got was 6th in beginner level (with manual)
And What the slot machine would do? Is it just for hell of it?
Kinda stupid questions but I wanna know about them so...

Someone told me that if you press the 'credit' button while
travelling under the fruit machine, you can stop one of the
drums. If you manage to stop them all on the same 'fruit', you
gain certain advantages ( e.g. have 20s lopped off the lap-time ).

I think you also get extra credits.

On the beginner level, take manual transmission. Going into
turn 1, hit the brakes hard and go low. Stay in fourth.
In turn three, hit the brakes and go into third at the same
time as you start you turn. This will make your rear end
start to slide out, then go right back to fourth. You
can go through the turn without letting off the gas
except for the one second brake.
It works fine and you should be able to get first most of
the time. It's gonna cost you a few dollars, though.
Yeah, I playing it in Phoenix everytime I go there. Spend too much,
way tooooo much money on that game. But on the beginner track (tri-oval)
the highest I got so far was 3rd place. On intermediate I got to 4th on the
first try and then after a long time of practising I managed to win it
finally. Didn't try the 2-laps expert track. It seems to me that it is
harder to win at beginner level than at the other two.
Dave.
Agreed! Although I probably spent the same amount of time playing
each track before I won each one. Beginner was the last one I
tackled, and I did find it surprisingly hard.

Agreed. Run wide-open through turns 1 & 2, you lose way too much speed
for the bacxkstretch if you even tap on the brakes. Don't be afraid
of being too conservative in the 3rd turn....If you make it through
smooth with no contact, you should be able to get right back up
to speed. I would recommend not trying to pass in that turn, all my
attempts have been suicidal. You can usually make up for lost speed on
the backstretch in the draft. I've pulled off 2 wins, and about 4 other
top fives in (LOTS) of starts. I'm now officialy retired as I can't
afford that 1 dollar strain on my wallet. ;)
