I want to experience better realism with my NASCAR and IndyCar games and was wondering: Is the T1 worth all the problems it's apparently giving? I know Thrustmaster has a good rep for dealing with broken parts, but is it worth the frustration. I've also heard that the spring tension and feel leave a lot to be desired. But I'm getting this from magazines. I'd like to hear from people who actually use it. Please post your opinions. Thanks! P.S. The reason I'm asking is because my birthday is coming up soon.

> I'm betatesting a wheel/pedal set for Trevor Thomas Is this wheel shipping yet?. I have had a few discussions with Trevor and I'm on a waiting list. I haven't heard anything for about a month.

So far, no broken parts. It seems quite well built, and I imagine that if something does break, it wouldn't be too hard to fix. I've also heard that Thrustmaster has a good reputation for customer service, although I don't have any first hand experience. Also, if you get one, be sure to put wooden blocks under the pedals... helps A LOT! Also, I devised a mounting mechanism that actually bolts the wheel assembly to my desk. Holds it very tight for those over-zealous turns at Bristol. Later... I second the motion for the Thomas Super Wheel. I got mine last week and this thing is built like a Winston Cup car, it will not break. this would be a great investment. My car control is so much improved that it is like night and day. I was using Maxx pedals and a CH Virtual Pilot......
