Is there anywhere out there where I can find an upgrade to version 1.05?? Is 1.05 an add on upgrade or is it a whole new program? Is this something that is available on the net or not? Any info would be appreciated as I think I am using v. 1.03 right now. What is the difference in the new version?? Doug Borders

v1.05 is a modem update and since v1.03 it contains also some other minor improvements: - If you save game in the championship, you won't be able to see race finishing times and some other stats, after you have loaded the game. This is a bugfix. - You can now link your PC (I think you have a PC, because v1.03 was never released on the Amiga) with another PC (modem/nullmodem link). - You can now alter the steering lock if you're using a analogue steering device. So it is now possible to keep on the track with joystick and traction control and steering help off :) - You can switch joystick axes for use with pedals. - The engine and brake sounds have changed (but isn't yet as good as on the Amiga (IMO). - The physical tracks differ in colour on different tracks (shades of grey). - The lap times during a race in Mexico are now slower than the qualifying session. This is also a bugfix. - You can press 'G' during a race to see the gap between you and the cars before and behind you (recorded at the moment you crossed the finish). Maybe there are more changes, but these are the ones I know of. V1.05 is not a complete package but an update for v1.03 or v1.04, so you need the original package of one of those versions. It is available on the net via ftp: site: ftp.uml.edu dir: /msdos/games/patches file: f105ptci.zip size: 913849 bytes Have fun! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rene Smit AKA The SDI, Technical University Delft Faculty of Computer Science The Netherlands | tel: 70-3999138 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
