Yet few more Nascar questions caused by european manual:
I didn't quite get the weight section. I quess these rear and left bias
settings will move the weight and not increase total weight?
How the cross weight works? Is it additional ballast? Manual says
"..place weight over a specific wheel". Is the "specific" wheel
specified with rear and left bias settings?
How the restrictor plate works? I know it should keep the top speed at
200 mph, but more specific description would be nice.
What are the yellow flag rules in Nascar? I've been overtaken several
times few seconds after the yellow flag has been waved. Is this supposed
to happen?
I suppose there isn't (yet) internet Nascar hotlap list? Just
curious how much my Talladega 196.307 mph (with restrictor plate)
could be improved;-)
Although I've criticized the european _manual_ of Nascar Racing couple
of times, the game is excellent and well worth of buying.
Pasi.
In NASCAR racing, you are permitted to race back to the start-finish
line when caution waves. Once you have gone by the flagman with the
caution waving, you can no longer pass.

The restrictor plate is between the carburetor and intake manifold and the
reduced size of the hole limits the amount of air allowed into the engine which
limits the maximum horsepower.

Unlike road racing, the yellow flag in ovals only takes effect once the cars
have reached the start/finish line. Therefore cars are racing you back to the
start/finish line.

And during a caution, if you pit and nobody else does, you loose your place in line.
If you and others pit, then it's a race to get back out. How many times this year
has Dale Ernhart come into the pit area around 12th place and gone out in
first or second?? The pit crew can really advance (or not) the driver's position.
