* Yeah, it's early again. Two reasons; first, to get in step with Edo so
that the Amiga and PC HOFs come out on alternate weeks, and second,
because I've written the rest of the rules and the table descriptions, so
you'll actually know what all that stuff means. From now on it really
will be fortnightly, I promise!
* Let me know if you use the keyboard, joystick, mouse, or a combination,
but aren't marked as such. Same goes for traction and steering help, and
automatic gears and brakes (hope nobody uses the latter!).
* I've now got a Pentium 90. Just wanted to boast about that.

Two related sets of standings are produced; both use a scoring system which
awards points to the 12 fastest times at each circuit, using Indy-style
scoring (20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1); category CC times don't
count. The first championship is on number of points scored; the second is
on average score. The current standings are presented below, side by side;
the number of entries for each player is included in both tables, as is
information about the movement of players and the changes from the previous
HOF.

- You must use Formula 1 Grand Prix (a.k.a. World Circuit) on the PC;
players are strongly advised to upgrade to version 1.04 or 1.05.
[Amiga players of F1GP/World Circuit might want to contact Edo Nijmeijer, the
administrator of the Amiga HoF. His address is <[email hidden]>.]
- You need to get a driver ID from me to enter, but I can allot one when you
send your first record(s) in. I sometimes let people choose their own. I
also like to know if people use the keyboard, autogears, turn steering
help off, and so on, so that I can include it in the HOF.
- I do publish times set by cutting corners or chicanes, but you need to
tell me because those times do not count towards the championships.
- Drafting (slipstreaming) is permitted, as is using an editor to alter the
computer cars power and grip settings. Player power must be left at the
default 716BHP.
- I prefer people to include their setup details, but do not require it.
- If you set a time during a race or practice on slick tyres and it's faster
than your qualifying time, send it in (and tell me what mode the game was
in and what tyres you were on). Note that up to version 1.03, a bug in
the game allowed you to set very fast times during the race at Mexico;
I've been advised to consider such times illegal.
- Feel free to tell me anything else you think important when you send times
in.
