Little Formula 3000 World Championship Round 7 of 16 Gran Premio d'Italia Facts: Track Length: 3.604 miles Percentage: 40% Laps: 21 Total Distance: 75.684 miles AI Grip Setting: 10 Human BHP Setting: 825 Weather Conditions: Dry Approx. Time: 35 minutes Race Descriptions Novice: Welcome to historic Monza! The 2nd oldest closed-circuit still in use, and it's fast. In fact, the fastest track on the entire schedule! At the start, you've got a long run to the first turn, use it to get up front. Like in the real thing, the first chicane causes shunts which could end your race early. If you survive the first turn, you should have no problem taking the win. But take note of Variante Ascari, turning in too early will lead to hitting the curb and sending you out to mow the grass(I've done that so many times, it isn't funny). Tyres won't be a factor, so C's are manditory. Lap Records: Qualifying: 1m25.049s Wilson (19.6.1994) Race: 1m27.732s Wilson (19.6.1994) Previous Winners: 1994 LF1: Wilson 1h23m14.742s (19.6.1994) (100%) 1993-4 LF2: Sturm 19m42.863s (16.1.1994) (25%) 1993 LF2: Metzler 20m01.875s (19.9.1993) (25%) (WET) 1993 LF1: Metzler 1h22m25.486s (11.7.1993) (100%) Pro: All you speed demons will enjoy this race. The AI is always tough here, but your 825 horses should give you a slight advantage. Get a good start, don't get involved in any first turn shunts, and you can win this race. Use caution in a slip-stream, at these speeds, it won't take you long to close in. Tyres will be fine, so start on C's. Lap Records: Qualifying: 1m18.323s Chiu (19.6.1994) Race: 1m21.112s Rimmel (19.6.1994) Previous Winners: 1994 LF1: Rimmel 1h15m28.072s (19.6.1994) (100%) 1993-4 LF2: Anderson 18m21.174s (16.1.1994) (25%) 1993 LF2: Wilson 19m21.052s (19.9.1993) (25%) (WET) 1993 LF1: Ginste 1h16m31.280s (11.7.1993) (100%) Results are due Sunday, Oct. 2nd by 10pm ET. Good luck! Steve Wilson LF3000 Director -Huan :)
