I had ICR ver. 1.0 (in the United States) and wanted to upgrade to the latest version (1.04 I think). I got icr104e.zip from brains.cc... After copying over the new indycar.exe, I can no longer get through the password protection. Is icr104e.zip a newer version than icr104.zip or does the 'e' stand for something different (like the 'e'uropean version). Are there any cracks to eliminate that darn "look up a random word in the manual every time you want to play" protection? I've read the manual several times, but I hate having to flip to a random page and count words every time I want to play. Thanks for the help. -- -- Michael Q. Frnka

The "e" version is the European one. As you supposed the 'e' stands for the european version of ICR, which requires a handbook in british english to pass the copy protection. If you've got the US-version you should use the following patch : icr104.zip . You can get it from the following ftp-site: ftp.std.com you will find the patch in the following directory: /ftp/vendors/papyrus This patch should also fix any modem/nullmodem problems. >Thanks for the help. >-- >Michael Q. Try didnt.doit.wisc.edu: ICR/ ... I don't recall the actual path or filename but it's pretty easy to find. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll email it to ya. Happy racing -- Henrikki T. If you get the new add-ons, however, you will not need it as the add-ons upgrade the program to 1.05. Rob
