Indycar 94 colors/names?

Is there a way to update Indycar so that the drivers names, car colors and car numbers are true to the 1994 season? I know how to change the drivers names, and I saw a post on how to drive a car of another color but that isn't what I want. I think Indycar would be even more fun with the 94 car information. I have enough trouble learning car colors for the new 94 season (when watching races) let alone having to remember the 93 colors (when driving Indycar). Thanks, --

There is no editor for the ICR car colors (yet). I am pretty sure Papyrus will release 1994 cars and driver files. The game is designed for multiple car sets (just add a subdirectory called cars94 next to the cars93 dir, then run the game and look at the options menu: a new selection pops up, askin you to pick a car set) Rumor is spreading that a new set of tracks will be out in about 2 months - most likely bundled with the '94 cars files.

I recently uploaded a file called indy94.zip from didnt.doit.wisc.edu I can't remember the exact path but it's pretty easy to find. The file includes the cars and names for '94. Here's the 'readme.txt' from indy94.zip: INDY94 DRIVERS AND CAR UPDATE V1.1 (Updated 4/23/94) Update Indycar Racing by Papyrus to show the 1994 drivers. Drivers have been placed in their correct sponsors cars, except for new sponsors not supported in the original IndyCar Racing simulation, in which case drivers have been placed in a car similar to their '94 car. Driver performances have also been updated through the '94 running of the Long Beach Grand Prix. WARNING - THESE FILES ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY PAPYRUS PUBLISHING. Do not call them for assistance. These files should be included in INDY94.ZIP: CARS94.DAT DRIVERS.TXT README.TXT HOW TO INSTALL INDY94 FILES: Go to the INDYCAR\CARS directory (EX: CD C:\INDYCAR\CARS) Make a new directory called CARS94 (EX: MD CARS94) Copy the files CARS94.DAT and DRIVERS.TXT to the new CARS94 directory.
