I am thinking about putting together the rules and organization for a
short series of modem play races with ICR version 1.04. Naturally, the
phone bill is the most limiting factor in this series, but anyone
interested in racing against other humans should take a look at this.
Pelase email me as to what you would consider a tolerable amount of time
spent on the phone (this would defintely all be US-long distance; maybe
Canada, but I guess that's already more expensive). The typical matchup
would most likely be a 2 hour or longer connection. A series in which all
participants meet the others once would be manageable up to about 6 or 7
players. Above that we'd have to run elimination style.
Before I spill out more of my own ideas, please think about your recent
head-2-head races (if any) and send me some toughts and suggestions. If
we get enough people together (and I know of about 5 or 6 right now),
this may become one of the most challenging simulator events ever to
happen.
Peter
PS: anyone have MCI? I need a few more "friends and family" members in
my calling circle ;-)
PPS: 608 area code anyone?
