F1GP (WC) and modem link

Hi, after playing several times WC by direct link, we tried today to play the game via a modem link. The link connected painlessly but when we started the 'Free Practise' there was an 'Link error. Data mismatch.' (Or something close to this). The Modem Uptate from Microprose is installed and both Modems are set to 'direct connection' w/o error correction and w/o data compression. Anybody ever played WC over modem ? PS: I just bought ICR. Any news about the modem update from Papyrus ? -- Lisa: Bart, we've been going about this all wrong. What's the one thing rabbis prize above everything else? Bart: Those stupid hats?

Make sure that both of your gp.exe's are identical. We had that same error message after we've been playing with an editor to change car colors etc. Yes, I have. It rocks! Just have the faster machine call the slower one. They recently posted to this group stating that it was their top priority to get the patch out. No dates were mentioned though :( -- Henrikki T.
