Well......here goes.....
My buddy checked this game out too- and lo and behold, this game doesn't
support digital joysticks- and this info is NOT anywhere on the box, just
in the README. I could get my Gravis PC Gamepad to barely work, but I think
that's more because of my game port than anything else. Unless you want to
dump $$$ into an analog stick, don't buy this....
Another thing about joystick support....the game runs best under KEYBOARD
control. I don't have any trouble with this simple fact, but why no digital
support?? I carefully looked at my keyboard and after carefully playing
;) I determined that it's a DIGITAL KEYBOARD- isn't this a similar input to
a digital joystick??
So where is the patch?? Since Accolade merely distributes, I doubt you'll
see one- plus, Accolade has quite a few games in need of patching that
have yet to be bandaged, let alone patched. Their lack of concern after the
game is sold will be the reason I will return this game. Ask anybody with
an Ultrasound Card about Star Control II if you don't know what I mean....
