I remember when UseNet and BBS's used to be the main social outlet for many
wanting to go public with their stories and rants. Having an active
newsgroup allows anonymity still, while honest posters are still allowed to
voice their opinions and facts without the burden of surveillance weighing
you down the way Facebook and Twitter does. Really, all those sites are is a
means for government and security to watch you more closely, much in the
same way that Microsoft wants to watch you with Windows 10. It used to be
when YOU were in control of what you wanted and how you wanted to present
it. But now the spectrum controls you. Long live the days of old windows
operating systems, DOS, and BBS's.
