Racing for America, Inc. Seeks
The Very Best Race Track in America
Cleveland, OH- Racing for America, Inc. wants to know what motorsports
track is The Very Best racing venue in the United States and to find
out the organization is conducting an on-line fan poll to rate American
tracks on ten different items covering everything from racing action to
restrooms.
"The great part about this poll is that it is all about quality not
quantity, so local tracks, like Lorain County Speedway, right here in
Ohio, actually have an advantage over the big boys like Daytona or IMS
[Indianapolis Motor Speedway], because of the tight bond they have with
their local fan base," said Jim OBryan, RfA President.
"We want race fans to tell us which track serves the best bratwurst,
who's got the friendliest staff and what is the best ticket value in
the country and these are things that happen every Saturday night in
America, not just once or twice a year on holidays," said OBryan.
Fans may vote on line at
<http://www.racingforamerica.org/>www.racingforamerica.org. Special
recognition and RfA Awards will be presented not only to the top rated
tracks in the nation, but the top rated tracks in each state as well.
The RfA Get Out the Vote Campaign is an initiative to promote fan
support for motorsports racing and increase spectator turnout at the
1200+ local race tracks throughout the United States. Plans call for
the track recognition program to become an annual event with increasing
media exposure and award value in the future through the involvement of
corporate sponsorship.
"The future stars of NASCAR, IRL, CART, NHRA and Formula One are out
there right now on dragstrips and dirt ovals all across this country,"
said OBryan, "And they deserve every bit as much support as our
nation's Olympic athletes so the country that invented and defined the
modern automobile is fielding the most competitive drivers all around
the world."

I am a gamer, and involved in racing. I think there is a natural
crossover between race gammers and race fans. RfA is interested in the
opinions of ALL race fans, live or virtual.
I will respect whatever decision the moderators of this newsgroup tell
me for the content of my messages.
Only trying to make racing better.
Thanks for the note.

The link works, the voting is under the "racin" section. We were hoping
fans would look around a little bit.
The site is a bit rough, we are working out the bugs for the formal
kick off in 2004.
We are only a bunch of race fans working together to sponsor American
drivers. Since 1984 RfA drivers have won races in British F3, Formula
Opel, F3000, Formula Atlantic, Indy Lights, Formula Ford, and have gone
on to compete in CART, IRL, NASCAR, and other series. Recently RfA
driver Paul Dallenbach won the 2004 Pikes Peak Hillclimb. Check the top
patch on the left side. Not bad, for being not too sharp.
We have just landed a pretty good sponsor, and the new program will be
announced in October, with over $250,000 up for grabs to drivers, fans,
interns, and sim racers. The larger budget will help us fix some of the
bugs in the website, and other areas.
Racing for America, is non-profit, fan run, owned and operated. We are
dedicated to making racing more enjoyable. I hope if you find any other
problems with our site, program, or postings you will send me a copy so
that we can address the problem as quickly as possible.
I'll admit, sometimes we are not that sharp,
but we are always willing to try better.
Thanks for the input. Stop by again, I promise it will be better.
