I have the Sound BLaster Live card. In N3 I can hear my car, my skids, my spotter, and ect.. but I don't hear anything else.. None of the other cars, other car sounds, ect.. I heard that someone released a patch for the SB live. I thought it was the High gear site but there's no mention of it there and the download link doesn't work. So... Anyone have any idea of what to do in this case? I have SBLive value, and I don't have a problem with the sound in N3. The patch you mentioned is really a set of sound files to replace those that come originally with the game. It should be at High Gear site under some article about N3 soundpack. Have you always have this problem with N3 and SBLive, or is this a recent problem? And are you using the 8bit or 16bit sound in the game? And are you using the latest driver for SBLive? Which DirectX version are you using now? It could be a driver problem, if you haven't updated your soundcard driver, or a problem with DirectSound. Or it could be related to something else that I don't have a clue about. Ricky

AMD K6-2/350 VD2 w/12 meg ram Sb live 16 bit sound DX 6.1 or 6.1a(?) I installed N3 twice already (uninstalled and rebooted...) Both times there was no sound other then my car. I've been running GPL without any sound problems. I'll check for the newest SB live drivers just to be sure but I think I updated about a month ago. In any case, from day one I have yet to hear another car or even my own car crashing. I'll also try installing N3 over top of the install I have there now to be sure there aren't any files missing as well as trying 8 bit sound.
