I just wanted to vent a little about Nascar 3's so-called online racing option. This is one of the main reasons I bought yet another Papyrus racing sim so I could race online with friends and family. They did away with the modem to modem multiplayer option and gave us this "online racing" garbage. If they are going to advertise this option to sell more copies of the game then I think they should at least get it to where not everyone has to have a cable connection to be able to race with other people that live in the same town as the host. The warping and cars disappearing then magically re-appearing is rediculous. You can't possibly even try to race like this! I also own MGPRS2 and have raced many hours on the Game Service that Ubisoft includes (free I might add) with this sim. The Game Service from Ubi is not perfect but it is 100 times better than this Papyrus "multiplayer" thing. I hope Papyrus will work on this for us so we can have good, trouble-free online racing. I think they did an excellent job with the changes from N2 to N3 except for doing away with the modem to modem connection and getting our hopes up about this multiplayer online racing only to be disappointed with how terrible it is. Papyrus please take some notes from Ubisoft's Game Service. Just my .02 worth.

Between me and the Papy crew, please don't go the Ubisoft approach to online gaming please. Or else it would mean no prediction code, and cars stopping on a dime from 180 to 0mph when loosing synchro (skew) and then accelerating from 0 back to 180 in less than a second. Of course all this happens after the guy behind him (you) plowed in his rear without having the chance to do any evasion move and after having to pit because your front rear is broken. Not a troll post btw, just a fact. -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you...
