Thank you, Tim.
Yes, I did realise that the Viper was a Dodge product but no, I've never
played Viper racing.
An uncle of mine had a Dodge once....big black bloody thing which reminded
me of a gangsters car (as depicted in Hollywood movies.......we didn't have
gangsters here in Oz back then, just petty crims without the brains to get
organised!). It was a very comfortable machine, if my memory serves
correctly. Enough room in the back to have a game of cricket.

Oh, yeah -- we have that here in the States, too -- it's called "The
U.S. Government".... ;^)
BB
In the 2001 season Dodge will return to NASCAR competition with the Intrepid.
The head of the projet will be none other than Ray Evernham!! I knew they
would do it...it was just a matter of when.

What wonderful news!
What's a "Dodge"?

Dodge and Plymouth are subdivisions of Daimler-Chysler.
They basically sell the same cars in slightly different trim levels.
The Intrepid is the mid size 4 door, comparable to the Ford Taurus, or
Chevy Lumina (don't know if there is a Holden version of that one in
Australian).
Dodge is generally know for being the sportiest division of Chrysler.
I presume you've never associated the Viper in Viper Racing as being a
Dodge?

HEY! My '85 Daytona Turbo Z still looks amazingly good
considering some derelict left it out in the weather for years to
rot!! Just after I get all the body restored and start on the
interior, the tranny freezes up! I'm no mechanic, and my brother (who
IS a mechanic - just 2000 miles away!) said it'd take him a couple of
days to swap it out. He used to work in a tranny shop. Now my ol'
lady's pressuring me to sell it! No WAY! T-Tops, and EVERY option
I'm aware of except A/T.
Anyway, I love my Dodge. IROC even ran 'em for a few years in
the late '80s IIRC.
