Hi, Some time ago I downloaded the beta version of PSP 6.0. I never really used it but, my son bought Sierra's Nascar Racing 3 and, in the readme file, they give a lot of information on how to use PSP to paint cars. I installed on my son's computer so he can give it a try (I first check on Tucows and, noticing that JASC had released version 6.0 I download it). The installation went without a problem. The software seems to be very powerfull and robust. The only problem was with the marquee (appear when you make a selection). It can't be seem. I checked on the menu and the option Hide Selection Marquee is not marked. Nevertheless, I tried checking and uncheking it with the same results. Thinking that it might be a problem, I used Altavista to search for older versions. I found PSP50EV and PSP414 and tried both (first uninstalling and rebooting the machine between newer installations). The amazing is that, all of them presented the same problem. I can see that the region has been marked because I can copy, move, delete, .... but, not been able to see it makes very dificult to manage it (if I want to use, for instance, transparent color to reduce the selected area). My son's computer is a Intel Celeron 333A (not overclocked), 32 MB RAM, a SiS 3D graphics card (I know it is crap, but it is one of the features of the motherboard), a 3DFX Voodoo 2 video accelerator board. Everything is working 100%, and DirectX games (using the SiS) and D3D or Glide games (using the Voodoo 2) are also working without problems (WORMS2, FIFA99, MADDEM99, NASCAR3, DX-BALL2, ...). Have someone ever seem this problem? Is there a way to correct it or change the marquee to a fixed dotted line that I can see? Any sugestions? Thanks, Brian ps: right now I let version 5.0 installed, because it seems to be the best balance between power, easy of use and size. ps2: I installed in my notebook and the marquee is working.
