Notable threadMass thank-you to GPL's creators and add-on makers

John Moore started a thread thanking Papyrus and the volunteers who kept Grand Prix Legends alive with patches, tracks, utilities and VROC servers. Well over a hundred posters added their thanks and stories of how GPL changed their hobby, naming Randy Cassidy, David Kaemmer, Alison Hine and others. Some regretted that the game had sold poorly, and the thread continued into March 2000.

I wholeheartedly agree with John, My sincere thanks to all the Papy people who had the great vision to create GPL and make so terrific and who have stuck with it (and for having the guts to give us the Nurburgring). Also many thanks to the folks who have spent lots and lots of hours and sweat working hard to give us things like VROC, GSB, Brands Hatch, soundpacks, graphics packs, GSGirl, GPLDump and all the other hundreds of utilities and fan websites that have made GPL such a success despite what all those game reviewers and marketing guys think. GPL is by far my most favorite sim ever, and it has also formed a terrific online racing community of very generous and friendly people. THANK YOU! I must say GPL is so good it's taken the shine off every other car racing sim I've played. Congratulations to all involved. Let's just hope the next Indycar sim is based on the GPL engine. Robert

I'm sure I am not the only one who would like to publicly express my gratitude to the few people who have babied GPL along since it came out. The number of addons and sites (200+) are amazing considering that GPL is considered by the industry to be a loser. Well we know it's not. I wish I knew the names of all the people at Papyrus who have stuck with it and given us the 1.2 patch. They get blamed for Sierra's decisions falsely when they should get our appreciation instead. As for VROC, SpyBoy and now WinVROC.. These people deserve recognition and a great deal of thanks from all of us for the efforts they have put in on their own time. Even if I knew how I'm not sure I could show the dedication that has been demonstrated over the past year and a half. Although it would be easy to name a few of the more well known folks I will not because that would detract from the knowledge that there are probably 10, 20 100?who we don't know. So, for all those people who have slaved over a hot keyboard (or wheel :o).............. THANK YOU! THANKYOU! THANK YOU! I call on every GPL driver to make this the longest thread ever on ras with your2cents worth. And again, thank you. Sincerely, John Moore

i second your thoughts john. without the hard work of those people(they know who they are) GPL might have vanished to the big bargin bin<G> but GPL lives and will live for along time as the best pure sim out there. neil canning "john moore" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I echo John's thanks to all who made GPL as marvelous as it is. It was my first driving sim, and I was hooked from the day I bought it for my brother for his birthday! After a year of pretty intense (my girlfriend my call it something else!) practice at GPL, I am still amazed at the quality and depth. It is so far beyond any of the other "games" I have dabbled with, it really belongs in it's own category. With 1.2, GPL Spy Boy, the various track and car tweaks, GPL Dump, sounds, etc., GPL on-line racing still fascinates me a year later. Thanks to all! Although I cant play (drive) this sim as often as I wish anymore, I felt I should show my gratitude to the people behind the best sim to date. This effort to make the best sim possible can be easily seen by the quality, not quantity, of people who have followed it for over a year now, involved in the making of support programs (GPLSPy Boy, WinVROC, etc), track convertions, graphic and sounds enhancements, etc, not to mention all the excellent leagues that this sim has inspired (GMSS, GPLWS, you name it). Thanks to all involved for your effort and keep up the excellent work. Eduardo Garza Monterrey, Mexico.
When I read about GPL the first time (a short preview) I didn't expect much from it, I thought that it would be just another arcade game with the '67 setting just as a gimmick. The preview didn't mention anything about the driving model. A couple of weeks later I bought a mag with the Watkins Glen demo on a cd. I installed it but couldn't get it to run. Later it turned out that lots of people had this problem. Another couple of weeks later, I was in a shop, and GPL just came in. I saw the package, and read about the driving model, and saw the beautiful screenshots on the box. I bought it, without reading a review or whatsoever about GPL. I installed it, played it, and was amazed. Driving this car was... like real! That was more than a year ago. Still playing it, even more fanatic than ever. The better I become, the more fun GPL becomes. Yesterday, I practiced the whole day at Monza, and comparing my replays with GPLDump. Finally the 1.27 comes in sight. I can drive every corner as fast as Woeger, the only thing I have to do now is to drive all the corners as fast in the same lap :) Thanks to all who keep the GPL scene alive. There are lots of people I would like to mention by name, but I only mention the people who had the most influence on me: - Ricardo Nunnini: His GPL is the best. Period. - Randy Cassidy: For realizing the force feedback patch, and all he did for GPL. For ignoring all the whining about the 1.1 patch, and coming up with the 1.2 patch. - Alison Hine: For her devotion to online racing. - Juha Kali.. Kali... Kalisomething: For making GPLDump - Wolfgang Woeger: I spent hours and hours watching and comparing your replays, and still your wild driving style amazes me - GPLEA: for keeping the scene alive - Jack Rambo: For making GPAL, GPL's best friend!!!! (only kidding folks) Andre

If you were to re-instal GPL out of the box it would be barely recognizable against the patched version with all the addons. Great stuff - it only makes me anxious that we may not see the likes of it again for a long time. Andrew.

Hi! This product is amazing! Even though I live in Croatia, where one can get pirated software easily, I didn't blink before paying for this great product. Ant that in a country where I make 500 USD a month, and where the living standard is 50% more expensive than in the states (how's 2.2 USD for a gallon of gasoline!). Anyway, in fear of what happened to the F4 team, I do hope that there are still people around that truly beleive in what they are doing - in our case the BEST, without a distant second driving simulator, the BEST FF implementation, and the best FAN base. I have enjoyed the game immensly, and still will for years to come (don't have high hopes for GP3). My thanks go to all the enthusiasts who have participated, and my crazy wish is that Papy makes a modern F1 simulation, and put's an end to that once for all - for it would be untouchable! GPL models trailing thottle characteristic better than any other sim. You can learn real life vehicle behavior using GPL. My heartfelt thanks to the makers.
In Jan '98, I purchased my computer in Sept '99 i purchased an act labs force and about 4 driving games / sims nfs III motorhead F1 (ubisoft) my life has changed (for the better) I rarely play the first three games and am slowly working my way to VROC (hopefully in the spring) about 50hrs on line learning, modifing, exploring, and in awe of the GPL community this is what i have always dreamed of doing.... i would like to thank alison hine, tim wheatley, ricardo nunnuni, and all of the other excellent GPL sites on the web and a very large thank you to papyrus for this experience ps. now about that sim engine... do the words CAN-AM mean anything to you? Since buying GPL I have bought many games in between, Falcon4, Baulder's Gate, SimCity, Nascar3, BUT I always come back to GPL and everything else collects dust. For someone who dreams of being a professional race car driver there is no substitute to GPL, just as there are no substitute to the people who make it the great SIM it is, the greatest! Mid 1998 I brought a Steering wheel to play GP2 November 1998 I purchased a copy of GPL 10 days later I purchased a new PC to make the most of GPL Raced online soon after... Downloaded GSB and made many new friends Mid 1999 I uninstalled all other racing games Brought another copy of GPL for a friend Loaded v1.1 Mid 1999 Joined UKGPL league Loaded v1.2 Late 1999 finished in the Top20 UK racers I will never get the opportunity to realise my dream of being a racing driver, but GPL has taken me virtually all the way there. I have put 1000's of hours into this sim, (apologies to the Wife), and cannot wait for the next season to start. I have spent much hard earned cash on upgrades and online time, (still expensive in the UK), and believe it to be extremely well spent. I foresee many many more hours of fun with GPL, and will be buying copies for other friends for Xmas presents. Therefore a big Thank You to all involved in the production of this sim, and to all those that have provided me and many others with invaluable applications, tireless support, and countless hours of fun. I absolutely agree, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone involved. It's criminal that Papy didn't benifit financially on GPL, as there's no question that a large number of people in the rest of the computer industry have. I recently bought a new P3 550 which I wouldn't have if I wasn't so into GPL. <snip> I add my thanks to everyone who created GPL and everyone who keeps it alive and thriving. It's a wonderful sim and a real joy to master the challenges it provides. It was only after I got into GPL that I truly appreciated what driving a racecar was all about (at least from the standpoint of car control and competition). Also I tip my hat (helmet?) to the people that I have driven against online. You're a class group and a lot of fun to compete with. Here's to more of the same! Thanks!
I have only ever driven and bought 5 driving sims 3 by papyrus definitely the best..... but dammed hard to master. I really hope GPL was successful enough to ensure new project funding...... Paul

"My name is Kurt, and I used to play adventure and strategy games." "Hi, Kurt." "But now I play GPL." "Boy, have you got a problem." Seriously, I'm here by accident. About two years ago I got a new computer with a real, honest to God 3D card, and thought I would see what it could do (Road Rash came with the computer, if that gives you any clue). Found Need for Speed, Nascar2, ICR2 and this newsgroup in pretty short order. Then, in April about two years ago, someone named Papyrus released the GPL demo. That was all she wrote. I have saved HUNDREDS of dollars I would have spent on other games. I have poured all of that and more into peripherals, cards and accessories for GPL. And it's been worth every penny. Thanks to all who make this a great little community of interest. Kurt
I would like to say thanks also. This is by far The Best Simulation (or game for all you people who refuse to admit the realism of this piece of art, probably because it kicked your a$$) that has been written for the PC. It has set the standard for Motorsports Software to shoot for, and will probably never get the credit for so many sleepless nights by programmers for other companies. ( See EA, it's not always about Papyrus, you guys get amention every now and then.) Thanks Papy! Glen Pittman

Just had to chime in and add my voice to the rising crescendo here. IMHO, there has never been a single piece of software written that so completely succeeds at meeting the loftiest of goals as GPL. It is no mere game - no game could give the incredible sense of satisfaction of nailing a difficult corner (let alone a full lap!) the way that GPL does. Just this afternoon, I knocked another 2 tenths off my pb at the Glen (down to 1:06.7 in the Ferrari, no Wolfie, but not too shabby), and even if the rest of the day had been cr*p, that achievement would have made this a Good Day. Thanks to everyone at Papyrus for pouring their souls into this work of art. Thanks to the incredible community that has continued to support and improve the sim for the past year. Thanks in particular to Alison, whose Coventry setups made the game seem at least remotely learnable, when I was throwing the default Lotuses and Brabhams off the road far too often, and whose Ferrari setups remain my favorite way to experience the depths of the simulation we have been blessed with. Extra special thanks to Randy Cassidy, for performance far above the call of duty in getting the FF code into 1.1 and bringing the sim one more step closer to perfection (and lightening my wallet by $180 for a LWFF, money very well spent). With the way the entertainment software industry is going these days, we may never see another sim like GPL, and that would be a shame (fingers crossed for GP3, of course). I figure that GPL has at least a few more years left in it, in any case - I've still only really come to grips with three of the tracks (Glen, Spa, Monza), and I'm still only hotlapping. That $40 investment is going to keep paying off for a LONG time to come. Rick

Yes THANK YOU to everyone involved in the making of GPL My life has changed significantly and for the better since GPL... infact everything revolves around my next GPL fix!!! If only hours of use counted for more than number of copies sold ... surely then GPL would be know as one of the most popular games of all time. In particular thanks for the nurburgring (my spiritual home) and for these 400bhp / gripless beasts. To emphasise how amazing GPL really is I think this sums it up: I considering the unthinkable .... a year without competiting in any real life motor racing (money) since GPL is more than enough to fill the void. How many other sims leave you feeling as scared as the real thing? Thanks again Marc

Salute to Papy team and ALL GPL community, who dedicated their time and skill to allow us to enjoy the best racing experience today. Financially maybe not success, but owning the best sim engine gives Papy bright future. What about making modern F1 sim and allow user to adjusting sim level (lower level gives just more grip), adjusting AI speed, car setup wizard or guide(teaching and helping people in making car setups)... There is no way that sim/game filling all this requirements (from gamers to hard core sim fans) wouldn't be success. And what is the most important - 90% is here, in GPL. I don't have doubts that something like that will happened, and that all of us will enjoy many good sims from Papy. Nobody will throw away masterpiece like GPL engine, because they didn't make a big money in first attempt. Maybe GPL community can do something and help GPL selling better. My experience tells me that whoever tried GPL at my home was amazed by realism of sim and many of them bought a copy. Also, I always try to tell them all I know about sim (history background, level of realism involved in racing, car setups, intelligence of AI cars, tracks (Nurburgring, Monaco...), online racing...). Should be a kind of a mission for all GPL fans. Doing that we will make a sim world better, we will help real quality products like GPL and help people realizing that and enjoying in them. Darko

Thanks to all the people who have made add-ons for GPL, espically to the person who made that AI tweaker, it has helped me get faster (I'd give up with out it). And those 16-bit***pits are way cool. I wasn't to impressed with the Brands Track, but it's it's nice knowing it's there for a new challenge. If GPL had been released with all the stuff that you can get online, it would have been a run away sucess (in terms of profitablity).

GPL is by far the best sim (and game) ever! BIG thanks to Papyrus, everyone who has done something for the sim, and of course to everyone who have bought it and this way supported Papy. -- Greger Huttu
Totally agree with all the above posters,THANK YOU PAPY,NOW is the time for PAPY to cash in on the commercial side, the bugs have been ironed out,the general computers people are using are more advanced, consequently the frame rate is faster so the playability is easier,if they either re-packaged,or brought out GPL2 with an interface such as jack rambo was working on to appease the AVERAGE car simmer, this then would appeal to a vast public who ARE NOT die hard simmers, but would not affect the serious player. Without a doubt this is the best racing game (sim) around,PAPY capitalise on it!! make it user friendly, then you can extend the series i.e. 1971 series or what ever or even a current F1 series, guy's everyone uses GPL as a benchmark to judge other sim's,CAPITALISE on it COMMERCIALLY.regards dennis

Actually, I think GPL sucks. And then it spits out the competition after chewing <G> MS
I started driving racing sims when GP1 started on the Amiga (good old days) and i have seen several good sims, incuding several from papy. But at this moment nothing beats GPL. Still having much fun with online *** with friends. Thanx papy. Sincerely, John Moore

writes <snip> Absolutely!!! Thanks to all those that have been involved in making GPL the great game/sim that it is today. When they talk about value for money then no other software has come anywhere near close. I've paid 30UKP for something that has kept me coming back for more for 100's of hours and with little sign that my enthusiasm is decreasing in any way. -- Peter Ives - (AKA Ivington) No person's opinions can be said to be more correct than another's, because each is the sole judge of his or her own experience.
John, Well said. I also throw my "Thank You's" into the post as well. If I had anything bad to say about Papyrus, it would be that my wife hates them now, because I don't go out anymore. I just race. I would also like to say Thanks for ICR1, N1, ICR2, N2, NR1999, N3 and NL, all of which I own. Actually own everything Papyrus has developed.. (yes, even 'Indianapolis 500 - The Simulation' and SODA) Well done! Dean Williams

Awesome game. Bought it when it first came out, spend hundreds of hours on it, then forcefeedback - WOW. Thankyou for the uncompromising physics model. Thankyou for the readble .ini file. Thankyou for the forcefeedback. Nothing matches the feel of a car like GPL. Nothing gets the dynamics so right (the feel when going over a bump is awesome - feeling the weight shift is fantastic). Thanx to all people who did the***pits, sounds. The fantastic setup advice fron Nunnani - and many many others for utilities and track patches and so on. Great post John.... I agree absolutely with you on this one. These dedicated, talented people do some great work, and are obviously very good at what they do. People should stop moaning and whining, and give some well deserved praise to those that have contributed to all things GPL. If some people don't like GPL, or have some other beef with the people that brought us GPL, there are other, more construtive ways of getting thier message across, besides negative whinging. These creative and resourceful people have kept GPL alive, and interesting, and thier continual improvements via patches, utilities and add-ons will ensure GPL is around for a long time yet, as other great sims were also (and still are) around for years. Thank you, many, many thank you's. You and your work *IS* appreciated. 8-) *Peter* - http://www.cix.co.uk/~peterpc/home.html

GPL has brought the nearest I'll probably get to being a race driver, the amount of hours and enjoyment it has brought me its just undescribable. In fact, at first I never thought many people would actually buy this game and stick with because of the level of difficulty involved. I thought at some stage, (living in London, England) that I wouldn't probably be able to find 10 people out there that even new what GPL was. I thought I must be the only one around here playing it, but all that changed since I found this newsgroup. I could then say to myself it was normal to isolate myself from the world for hours on end driving a virtual car, and at the end feel as if I had actually been in a real race. This wasn't just "a pc game", this was definitely a simulator. No other "sim" could have that term attributed to it in the same sense. Absolutely awesome. THANK YOU! Also all the web sites that have provided the GPL community with so much as to make the game so much more enjoyable and realistic THANK YOU. KEEP IT GOING PLEASE.

Hi there, ok, GPL is the greatest racing sim ever ( as I mentioned before ).I downloaded the Demo in April 98, couldn't wait for the full version, got the full Version the first day it was out in Germany ( to be true, got it the day before because i bought the english version, which was out one day before the german one ). Spend hundreds of hours on it, spend hundreds of Deutschmarks for proper Equipment, Books, Videos, Modelcars ( 1:12 Scale from Tamiya are great ). Then i made an Website about GPL, met other GPL-Enthusiasts. In March '99 I became an Member of an GPL-LAN-League here in Germany in which we reace 100% Grand Prix's with 19 Drivers every 4 Weeks. So most of my time in front of my computer im training GPL or doing things related to GPL. Did not by an Game since the release of GPL, just dont have the time for Games ( the exception was NASCAR 3 and NASCAR Legends, but they are collecting dust... ) and I' m still very pleased with GPL. So GPL did not sell well, it sold bad. How can we show our enthusiasm to Sierra/ Papy ? Just by an second Copy of GPL. Its an way to back up the much used GPL-CD and to thank Papy. Since GPL is an budget Title now its not an expensive way to say thank you :-) And remember: You know, you race to much GPL when in your real life GPL clutch only for the start pressing on the horn left and right on your steering-wheel car jfk, but to the Nuerburgring going to win, Schumacher or H?kkinen, you just don't know what the hell he is talking about and just answer Jim Clark Greetings, Michael Staab -- Meine Grand Prix Legends Homepage: http://home.rhein-zeitung.de/~mstab/ Mitglied in der CAR, Verein fr PC-Rennsimulationen http://www.car-ev.de/ Staabi's Mountain Bike Classics http://www.mtb-classic.de/~mstab/mtb/ " To race is to live, everything else is just waiting"

> THANK YOU! THANKYOU! THANK YOU! > I call on every GPL driver to make this the longest thread ever on > ras with your 2cents worth. Well said. This subject deserves a nickel's worth so here goes: David Kaemmer: Should be nominated for a couple of Nobel's. One for coding the masterpiece GPL & one for promoting world peace. After all, the online racing community is international in nature. All seem to be getting along quite well. Papy: Kudos for producing GPL. Randy Cassidy: Standing O for the 1.2 patch. Sierra: Kudos for publishing GPL. Too bad it was a financial flop. Alison Hine: It was Alison's superb website that inspired me to purchase GPL. Excellent prose & tons of help. Also, it was Alison's original Coventry setups ( with some tweaking ) that transformed the Lotus from a hideous, demanding beast into a hideous, demanding *driveable* beast. Alison & Nate Hine, Larry Holbert & John O'Keefe: For VROC, SpyBoy & WinVROC. The crowd goes wild. Schubi: The Hotshoes website is like a shrine. Viewing the astounding replays at this site is akin to a religious experience. How on *Earth* do these people drive so fast? Ian Lake: Hotshoe setups that I can actually drive. GPLEA: For producing the superb Ferrari & Brabham. Can't wait for the Lotus. Patrick: For producing those great engine sounds. My SO: For the excellent coffee required for GPL mania. -- " Why bother..." - R. Crumb -

I'm going to do that, and keep that copy in safe (for grandson 18th bithday ???). Maybe GPL community can really do something and help GPL selling better. Darko

know, you race to much GPL when in your real life You for got to mention two other points: 12) You try to imagine a lap of the "Ring" while; trying to fall asleep, sitting on the loo, having sex, and just about any other activity that leaves your mind free. 11) You marvel at the smooth frame rate while on a busy freeway.
Brian 17 Dec 1999#509358
Sierra / Papy might get some more sales if they put a demo CD with each N3, NL, Add-on trucks, N4(?), and even the re-releases of CART, Viper, NR1999 ... The demo CD insert autoplay could start an MPEG replay of a lap in traffic around the Ring, from all the different views. The demo might be more accessible to a greater audience if it was set to the Advanced Trainer (F2) with brake and gas help on and AI cars (tweaked to be slower). With the sales they get from the NASCAR series, if a small percentage of the those buyers also bought GPL, this would probably double sales. With today's base PCs having 450 MHz CPUs, it should run adequately - the biggest deterrent would still be the lack of D3D support. Brian

My turn...I bought GPL for Christmas last year and still have a blast with it for these reasons: 1) The open architecture allowing new car paint jobs, track scenery, AI adjustment 2) The outstanding replay feature 3) The people on this list and their web sites providing add-ons...especially... 4) AI TWEAKER!!! So, thanks go to PAPY for developing GPL and our GPL community! Dennis

there is only one race simulation ...and that GRAND PRIX LEGENDS the people whomade this simulation are LEGENDS to , they know what the racers want and reply to that ......now thats thinking THANKS FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN I couldn't agree more. I was a Flight Sim nuthead before GPL. Now I haven't touched anything other than GPL since November last year. Alan http://www.chandler.u-net.com
Hi there, There was an 1:12 `67 Lotus 49 avaiable from Tamiya in the early 70's ( and again about 1990 ). Also an 68 Lotus 49B. But they are collectors Items now, saw an 49 at ebay not long ago, but I'm german, so i couldn't order it... I own an Matra MS from 68 ( Jackie Stewart ), an '70 Ferrari 312B ( Clay Regazzoni ) and an 67 Honda RA 273 ( hmm, who drove that car, can't remember ;-), all in 1:12 from Tamiya. Right now an '71 Tyrell ( IMHO one of the best looking F1s of all Time ) should be avaiable as an re-production ( im hoping to get it at christmas ). Maybe we should tell Tamiya about GPL and how many GPL'ers would buy an 1:12 Lotus 49, so they make an new series out of the old tools... Just look at ebay, some of these cars are on bids. certainly i own that car too ( and the Honda ) Greetings, Michael Staab -- Meine Grand Prix Legends Homepage: http://home.rhein-zeitung.de/~mstab/ Mitglied in der CAR, Verein fr PC-Rennsimulationen http://www.car-ev.de/ Staabi's Mountain Bike Classics http://home.rhein-zeitung.de/~mstab/mtb/ " To race is to live, everything else is just waiting"

Michael, Nice thought, but it wouldn't help. GPL only sold about a 40,000 copies, so if we all purchased a 2nd copy,it still wouldn't bring the total to 100,000. And the break even point is way more than that. Joel Willstein
I am also a flight sim nuts. Get a banking wrong induces a stall horn warning and then stall/spin in Warbirds while you hear tire complianing and then spin if you do a corner wrong in GPL. Big fun and chanellenging. Hehe. Oh, I think I will miss the fun of blowing the guy sky high if he keeps getting in your front using guns/cannons/missles. (Oh, the episode of Dilbert TV comes to mind again which Dilbert mounts a ballastic missle at his car's rear and solves the traffic conjestion problem.) I am not comparing flight-sims with racing sims. It is OT but I cannot help but feel that why it is so difficult to make a flight-sim right nowadays. Still a GPL student, Griffin.

I hadn't been interested in cars since I was a kid. My computer cost more than my car. However, I saw the advert for GPL and memories of my big brother taking me to opening night of "Grand Prix" (the movie) motivated me to buy GPL. I haven't looked back. WOW! What a joy! I've bought at least 4 more racing sims, looking for more of what I got from GPL, no such luck. It's simply the most amazing auto sim out there, and it is responsible for my renewed intrest in real F1 racing. Thank you GPL community...Papy, Larry, Randy, Allison...too many to name...and all those add-ons from unpaid and immensely talented enthusiasts...it's amazing! All I can say is that when the next GLP-engined (is that a word?) comes out, I'll be there, clutching my $$$. Hope it's a GT Legends from the same period, but even if it's NASCAR, hell, I might just find myself going in circles for hours. A current F1 sim would be cool, too. Who needs a license? The commnity will have us racing the real teams in no time. A personal thank you to all involved. Kim Price

Did my duty to add to the thread. A wonderfull upportunity to say thanks to all the people who created this sim and too the people who made hundreds of patches to make it even better. God Bless you all, Arthur.
Although my wife would feel differently about it, I think GPL is the greatest Sims I've played. Although it is already the most expensive in money (As in computer upgrades to 'help' me be competitive) and in time (the part that irks the wife!) game that I have.. It's value far outweighs what I've spent. Thanks to the Professionals that wrote it.. And you Net-Professionals that help it go on-and-on-and-on ... :-) -- Tyrone ----------------------------------- "The truth which makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear." I really hope there will be a GPL 2 with DirectX-Support and other 'mainstream' features that will help this 'strike of a genious' to be more successful in terms of earning money ... :-) Jrgen Pilsl
