The Middle Aged Racers Association (MARA) has been around for a bit over a
year. We are unique in that we are - to my knowledge - the only group
running a mixed F1/F2 league.
In 2000, we are adding an N3 league to our group, and MARA is actively
recruiting safe, mature adult drivers for the inaugural season. Attainment
of the exalted status of middle-age is optional, and we don't particularly
care if you are real fast, or real slow. Just as long as you don't wreck
other people, and like to have fun racing with a good group of folks.
To kick off the season, we are conducting an 11-race N3 mini-season as part
of the 2nd Annual Holiday MARAthon, to be held from 12/26/99-1/2/00. Check
us out at www.webtechnik.com/marathon for more information, and to register
for the N3 event.
You can also respond to me by e-mail. Just substitute mediaone.net for the
bogus domain above.
We will give preference to those who express an interest in joining the
league, but any are welcome to apply.
Hope to see you there,
Gordon McLachlan
