I've installed Windows 2000 Prof. and now I've got problems installing and running my favorite racing games. Nascar3 installs fine but I can't callibrate my wheel(thrustmaster GP1) Gp2 doesn't install at all. I didn't try GPL yet but since it's also from papyrus I expect some problems here too. Can somebody help me with these problems or do I have to go back to W98?

Well as with all Micorsoft products Windows 2k apparently has its compatibility issues. Personally im sticking with Win95 untill Win2k goes into final version. And then i still might stay with 95. Personally id like to see Linux take off and become the OS of choice but that seems unlikely. IBM had a Windows beater a few years ago with OS/2 Warp but unfortunately couldnt promote it well enough. Too bad the WinEmulator in there was for 3.1 and not 95 :( Oh well..such is life. My advice however is to stick with what works. If Win98 suits your needs and Win2k doesnt work..."format c:" and go back to Win98. If you need Win2k for some reason then i really dont know what to say. Good point, Win2K isn't meant as a replacement for Win98, it's a replacement for WinNT40, and as such is a better product for gamers, but MS themselves has stated the as many as 50% of the games of the past (ie before the Win2k release) will not work properly under Win2k He could setup a dual boot system though, not sure how easy this is when you have Win2k installed first, but Win2k is perfectly happy being installed on a machine with Win98 on it, and unlike WinNT40, it will work with FAT32 Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy
