After I installed Directx7.0a, my Thrustmaster Grandprix 1 wheel shows that it is not connected in control panel. Are there any drivers or does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or do I have to remove Directx 7.0a? Thrustmaster has poor support, and I have not be able to get help. Thanks.

Same here but only in the TM control applet. In the windows applet it is showing. I sent an e-mail to the GREAT tech support of TM (I'm being sarcastic!). No return yet. I no longer have the Thrustmaster install diskette. Is that what you are talking about? I have always ran the thing from the joystick applet in Control Panel. Not sure what you mean by recalibrate using 7.0a? where can I download the software if this is what I need? Thrustmaster.com has nothing for the Grandprix 1 wheel. Stephen Colbourne wrote:

It works ok for me with GrandPrix 1 and 7.0a. Goto the TM joystick set up and recalibrate as 7.0a uses different ranges I have heard to 6.
