I don`t have SBK 2K yet,but its on the way! :-)
I played the hell out of SBKWC,and I used my Joystick...
I think the Joystick/Keyboard setup is the best for cycle sims...
Up key = lean forward
Down key = sit up
right key = lean right (if game supports rider leaning)
left key = lean left
Joystick up = throttle
Joydown = brake
button 1 =shift up
button 2 = shift down

What controller are most of you using with SBK2000? Joystick? Wheel &
pedals? This has always been the drawback for me of m/c racing sims.
Also, where can the demo be downloaded from? I looked at it last week, but
now can't find the site where it was located.

I use 2 controllers conected via a y-spliter
*Actlabs EagleMax Flight stick
Left\Right - stearing
trigger - gear up.
thumb button - sit up
flipper up - sit down
flipper down - gear down
programable button #1 - look back\reverse
programable button #2 - Gestures
*Pedels from MadCatz True Analog Stearing\Pedel Console
Gas - Gas
Break - Break
Excuse any spelling if I messed up. This is what works best for me in any
bike sim that accepts multiple controllers.

I believe the Gravis Xterminator joypad to be the best setup going...
assuming you don't want to deal with a wheel.
The analog control stick has very good feel; but better yet, the
analog "flippers" are EXCELLENT for mapping to throttle and braking;
the digital buttons that rest below your middle fingers are perfect
for shift up/down, and any of the "regular" buttons can be sit up/down
and look back.
Highly underrated and very awesome driving game controller.
I have two!

I second that ! I've tried various joysticks and steering wheels with
SBK2000 and the XTerminator pad is by far the best. Also works great
with SODA Off-Road Racing (known as "Gripped" here in the UK) and not
bad for Powerslide.

I agree. If you have the real moto experience, I recommend to free your
body with Xterminator.
- accerelation with the right flipper
- front brake on the right
- rear brake on the left (even though sounds like a bicycle...)
Also, you may want to lean at turning... With a handle, you can't hang
off!
So, sitting on a chair, leaning forward with Xterminator is the best
(not for the best lap, but for the best simulation).
