Ah yes, Franois, but I, rrevved, have my very OWN newsgroup:

When rec.autos.simulators was created
A newer reader asked when the newsgroup began. ymenard pointed to the archived 1993 newsgroup proposal, and veterans recalled the IndyCar era. The thread turned into personal sniping between Barton Brown and ymenard over ymenard's old joke claim to have created the group.

Just wondering, I started reading RAS as soon as GPL came out, I never
knew about it before. Just read a post in which someone told about the
talk on RAS when the expension pack for Indycar game out.
That's a long way back...

proposal :
========================
From [email hidden] Tue Oct 12 15:07:11 1993
From: [email hidden] (Afzal Ballim)
Subject: RFD: rec.autos.simulators
Date: 12 Oct 1993 14:25:40 -0400
Organization: University of Geneva, Switzerland
Sender: [email hidden]
Approved: [email hidden]
Message-ID: <[email hidden]>
This is a Request For Discussion on the creation of a newsgroup for computer
simulations of automobiles.
Group Name
---------
rec.autos.simulators
Status
------
Unmoderated
Rationale
---------
There is an increasing amount of software on the market that
provides simulation of automobiles (both in competitive and
non-competitive circumstances). This software is often
multi-platform and so no platform-dependent newsgroup would
provide an appropriate discussion forum for it. In addition,
rec.autos is an inappropriate forum as that group is not intended for
discussion of software.
It is intended that rec.autos.simulators would provide a forum
where
people could discuss such automotive simulation software
irrespective of the platforms on which it runs, and that abstract
technicalities of such software could also be discussed.
Email I have received, plus discussions in various newsgroups
(comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.misc, rec.autos.sport) and on the F1 Grand Prix
mailing list, has made it clear that such a group would be welcomed by many
usenetters.
Charter
-------
This newsgroup will be used for discussions of computer simulations of
automotive vehicles, irrespective of the platforms on hich said simulations
are supported. This will include simulations which have a competitive
component (racing simulations) and those which do not. Topics will include
(but are not restricted to):
o Global characteristics of particular simulations.
o Platform-dependent characteristics of such simulations (as a
convention, it is suggested that such discussions list the
platforms in the subject header, e.g.,
Subject: [ibm-pc,sun] Blog's Yugo simulator
o Design and implementation issues of such simulations.
o General discussion of automobile simulations.
Voting
------
If all goes according to plan, voting will take place 21 days from the
posting date of this RFD.
This RFD is being posted to the following newsgroups:
news.announce.newsgroups
news.groups
rec.autos
rec.autos.driving
rec.autos.sport
comp.sys.amiga.misc
comp.sys.atari.st
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.misc
comp.sys.mac.misc
Follow-ups directed to news.groups

It didn't make people smile a few years ago when you made that same

But Frankie, you act exactly the same NOW...even worse, in some
respects. And what's with this British affectation lately -- "bloody"
this and "sod" that? The one thing that you HAVE improved slightly in
the last five years is your English, but it still ain't THAT good.
Speaking of which, you really oughta run the text on your website
through a spell check program -- only takes a minute, and makes you look
somewhat less of a dweeb.
Somewhat.

If so, then kill-file me. Im sorry but it's useless to talk with you on the
basics of having a decent conversation about racing simulator issues. You
seems to be on an anti-ymenard crusade for no reason since you came back
more actively to this newsgroup. You probably missed the 3-4years between
the bad and the current events here. Of course, how do you personally help
the community?

It shouldn't be of anybody's business of how I connotate my sentences with
stylistic words. I could use none/nadda/niet, but I have personally grown
up in a family who has some roots to England, and such words I speak in
real-life. I always "ise" my words as you may have seen, which made for
some quite good discussions from time-to-time on the N3.discussion newsgroup
;)

Website? Oh you mean WeRace.net? Someday when people have time we will
rewrite the page, but it's somehow on hold considering the LAN races, the
raceserver.net growth and the potential NOTS (Nascar Online Tournament
Series) in the N3 community. Finally, I do hope you take my signature file
seriously.

Agreed. Bartie, I rooted for you during your Ferrari barge-board duel with
John W., but you've obviously eaten something very bad for your tummy
lately.
You make me want to give David G. a hug; and that's inexcuseable. Goodbye.
