Logi USB / Win 98 problems

I just purchased a Logi FF wheel and installed a new motherboard (SOYO SY-6BA+IV) and I am having problems with getting my computer to recognise and install the USB port/drivers. Im using Win 98 on a PII 450mhz. At first, I could not install any drivers for the USB (Win98 is looking for an Intel 82371AB PCI to USB driver) because they were not to be found on my Win 98 disk. I went to a hardware site and learned that those drivers had to be unpacked from a zip archive on the WIn98 disk - did that. Win98 still refuses to install the Intel driver, but I did get it "install" a generic USB driver using the unzipped driver files. The problem is that with the generic driver, no USB port shows in my device manager and the USB port STILL is not recognized by Win98 and does not function. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
