Hi Tim, Snetterton was released without AI for it. I read a post from Ed that AI will not be done for it due to complications(?) so consider it a VROC special like the ovals. Maybe someone else will come out with an AI for it. Jason. Well it says the AI is not the best (@ GPLEA). I think it was intended more for online racing. But I'm sure someone will have an AI fix soon. Well it's really hard to build AI with the new Papyrus game engine. The current tools for that are limited, just look at the converted tracks for GPL from the Nascar Racing series. Personally I tried to work on some AI for some tracks, and have yet to achieve any sense of realism for them. Think Surtees x 1000 worse ;-D -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.WeRace.net -- People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realise how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world.

Well, Mr. Noonan seems to have coped quite well with both Brands and the Osterreichring so it can certainly be done. There is going to be a "not quite completed" feel about Snetterton if the AI are not set up properly. ymenard wrote:

Hi Edwin, Oops, my mistake then. Reading, rather scanning, 200+ messages can make your brain think wierd things ;-) It's great to hear your working on the AI. Jason. Edwin Solheim wrote:

The was talking about the racing groove not being done due to technical difficulties, but they're working on the AI I believe... Hats off, programming the AI seems quite a difficult task to me! Andre On Tue, 21 Mar 2000 15:51:28 -0700, Jason Monds <[email hidden]> wrote:

The AI at Brands Hatch are pretty bad, at least in terms of overtaking. I've only tried to race them twice, and both times a car had mechanical problems and proceeded to crawl around the track. Unfortunately, none of the AI would even try to pass him, and a huge train of cars soon formed. Dave Ewing -- ***************************************************** David A.
