I know a lot of you dont because you say it's crap, or only quazzi GPL
and stuff like that, but I think it would be a good idea to buy both games.
If all of us do, then EA will see that trying to go towards the sim side is
helping their sales and therefore create more, better sims. A lot of people
here are still not happy with EA, but I'd like to praise them for taking a
step in the right direction.
Also, it's not much to buy it. Im 13 and a paper boy and I can easily
buy a game a month, even with saving $50 a month, so I'd only imagine adults
would have a tad bit more money? :)
Oh, BTW, if you'd like to see some go-karting video clips of me you can go
to http://drive.to/rallyclips and click on "Go-Karting"
Thanks,
Alex

Well that's the other side of the medal. Yes, I agree it's possible. But
whatever happens in sales, EA sports will continue to create arcade games
(per example their NASCAR line of racing games) and companies like ISI have
newer titles to produce in the future, whatever the seriousness of them. I
personally think that if we don't support such a title, then they will think
twice before doing another title.
You say it's a step in the good direction for EA and your right, but I
should also say it's a neutral step by ISI in terms of realism.

Same thing at my place.

even want to play? Why would I want to send the message to EA
that I am happy to buy and shit they turn out?

It's a step backwards by ISI in terms of realism if you ask me.
The SCGT physics/graphics/track model seemed alot more real to
me.

Yes, I think SCGT gave me some sort of sense of driving a GT car
(not that I would really know). The cars rolled nicely and the
slides seem to be quite realistic. I just don't feel that F1
2000 simulates what it is like to be in an F1 cockpit.

It's a lot closer to a simulation than most anything else
out there, especially any other F1 sim.
I'm positive that the car does NOT pivot around an axis,
as all four tire contact patches are definitely being
modeled, but I'll have another look. When I checked
before, the rear wheels definitely tracked to the inside
of the front wheels during a turn. How did you determine
that it pivots?
Yea, I wish the AI had been ironed out before release,
but it should be improved shortly.

I think that NFS 5 Porsche is a hell of a lot better then nfs3 and 4.
So for that you can buy the game.
But it changes when EA starts to say it's a simulation !!
Its great , really great for an arcade racer. Looks at the screen shots!
(i spend about 18 hours downloading it but it didn't work ofcourse :-)
( punnishment )
Anyway i will want to know for sure it's working before i'm gonna buy it.
As for F12K, i don't know what EA was ment to mean for us.
It's no Arcade. It's no SIM ?!!
So what is it?
It fucking sucks and i think they must be very afraid for the upcoming release
of GP3.
EA thinks: "Sell it !! Sell it !! Get some money out of this shit."
It's wouldn't have been ready even before the very late coming GP3 (July 28th
latest rumors)
so they figured why not bring it out now?
Losers.
My experience with F12K: I start driving, brake a little, let go of my brakes,
but the car didn't
then i made a spin on the grass!! and after two 360turns (on the grass !!) my
tires were whitehot !??! What the $#%
And i keep wondering how much money the teams have to spend only on the
frontwings!!
Only two things i hear is IEIEIEIE !!! (lots off smoke in my mirrors)
and the other thing: "You've collided with Schumacher , Schumacher lost his
front wing"
JEEESS !! I'm so tired of that. It totaly runs my attemp to kick a fast lap.
So if anybody says F12K has a good AI, think again.
Very poor, VERY poor sound also.
Not a thing for me.
Antony.
Yeah, EA's F1-2000 is NOT a simulation. It tries to be, but it's just not.
When steering, the car pivots around a central axis, instead of the wheels
turning the car. It does not have a very realistic feel to it. I just
picked up Psygnosis F-1 99 that came out but I can't even get the menu
screen to load....it crashes back to Windows after startup.
