I am sure that the makers of the game will be crushed to find out that you

I agree this thing is horrible. Waiting for Gp3 which will have no competion
whatsoever this year.

ROFLMAO Cliff.
Although the way he said it left a bit to be desired... what he said is not
off the mark. Its not even worth stealing let alone paying for it <VBG> I
sometimes seriously wonder if EA Sports has anyone involved who has actually
driven any kind of a performance automobile.
For Cliff: "But we have more OPTIONS now" ;)

I regret wasting VST (Valuable sim time) downloading it. I
guess we all got our punishment for being so naughty, though I
think having to play F1 2000 was a bit harsh;-)

That has clearly taken the vocabulary of the online Nascar community. You
know your a simracing freak when in real life you have either said "but you
have more OPTIONS now (with the optional <vbg>)" or "gamulationT" ;-D

It's probably due to the effect I call "cropped out vision". The cockpit
view is very different from our habitual racing simulators. It seems that
instead of offering a view that is large, almost fish-eye, ISI has decided
to crop the picture, which gives the opposite effect.
Think about taking a widescreen movie, and stretching the picture so it fits
the screen. Everything looks more thin, and you might find that there is an
obvious effect is closeness in the cockpit. You also only see a small top
portion of the tyres when you sit in a F1 cockpit, so the effect of seeing
almost the entire tyre might give you that impression.

Seeing how much fun I can have offline with AI in NFS5 (I'll buy this
one) has given me new hope for GP3 - At least until WSC comes out. That
will certainly be the multiplayer's dream. At least as fun as GPL since
we know that Alison is assisting with the online development.
The West's have sure built up some huge expectations for WSC. Do you
think they will live up to RAS' high standards? Nobody has even
considered the possibility that WSC will not deliver. It surely does not
look like it will fail based on all the input we've had. But we had
input for F1 2000 (not nearly as much though) - look at what it turned
out to be...

Pahahahaha is this the gp3 killer you guys were raving about. Its exactly
like f1 97-99 before it. Crud. pha what a waste of time, clock cycles, data
etc. The graphics are show and shit, the tracks are from another dimention
the sound is from the mega drive. Sheeesh I not even going to burn this one
for the sake of it.

That thought have struck me too. What if WSC fails to deliver? The only place
I can see that it will not deliver might be that it may require a monster
PC. But then again, the West's said in a chat earlier this year that they
develop it on a PIII450, and they sure aren't satisfied with a bad framerate,
thinking it will work better in the future.
The reason I look forward to WSC is that what the West's have said about
details in the physic tells me that they are the first since Papy to take
this issue really serious. Physics first and then gameplay will come for
free as a result of that. I feel that everything else is gameplay first and
then try to make it look realistic. IMHO of course.
But again, you never know, they might crash and burn because they have fed
the sim community with enourmous expectations. I hope not.
