Interesting argument... Hey, do you know that soccer is shite too because I watched one game between Man Utd and Liverpool two years ago and it ended in a nil-nil draw? > "F1 is pathetic"Were you watching the same race as me two weeks ago??? Ok, I just don't get it.. The AI in this game are horrible to say the least. I just tried a race at Indy. AI set at 95% During the gosh darn formation lap 4 cars CRASHED??? The hell? Excuse me? I thought formation was the easiest fricken part of the race for crying out loud? Then during the race (which was 73 laps) only 3 cars finished on the LEAD lap! 2 were 2 laps down, and 11 were 4+ laps down.. 6 cars were out for crashing. This is ABSURD! I have really tried to like this game but add the horrible system spec requirements to even get decent FPS then on top of that the incredibly idiotic AI and F1 2000 is just plain annoying. It's hard to believe ISI would program such utter crap. I was actually going to work for them but if this is the kind of dribble they are passing off then I'm glad I didn't take their offer. Am I Pissed? Hell yes.. After SCGT I thought they would have IMPROVED not gotten worse. If they are depending on 3rd party people to improve their game for them, well they can kiss my ass because I'm not spending countless hours improving THEIR work for free like I did with SCGT. In SCGT everyone was complaining about the AI being too slow in the straights and faster in the turns.. Well golly Gee Gommer... Lets do the opposite.. they can now pass at 2x your top speed in the straights now but horrible in the turns... Someone tell me they are going to patch this swine heap fast?? - James "Gunslinger" Wohlever [email hidden] Techware Computer Services http://techware.gtinsider.com Send ATTACHMENTS (Files) to: [email hidden]

That's the one bad thing about F1, most lead changes occur in the pits or because of car failure. If you want to watch some real exciting open wheel racing, watch Indycar on the road course races. >Did you see the Spa race in '98? F-1 is pathetic, there is no racing its >follow the leader. >
Shaun Robinson 24 Mar 2000 22:42 UTC#284585
Let me explain in deeper detail; i religiously watch f-1. Wouldn't miss a news tid-bit for the world. All i was getting at was its a manufacturers race now and the results that the original post had about the indy race sounded legit. For that spa race not many cars finished, and i was informed from a friend that melborne that year was even worse. Hell, three cars on the lead lap sounds absurd, one would still be realistic. And with something like 12 cars eliminated before Eau Rouge on the first lap, it sounds like EA's AI might not be so inaccurate afterall. :-) Stephen

What was so special about the race 2 weeks ago. Apart from a couple of battles mid-pack (which of course were hardly covered) there wasn't exactly much to get excited about. Looked just like so many other races from the last couple of years.
