I have the warez version of F1 2000 as I am still waiting for my legit copy
to arrive. Although I am glad to see that many people are finding fixes to
the various problems with the game, the sheer number of fixes is becoming a
bit alarming. I'm not sure if ISI will release a patch in the near future (I
sure hope so!), but it would be great if someone were to assemble a
collection of all the fixes posted so far in a zip, maybe with a simple
installer (possibly with optional installations). I think this game has a
lot of potential, but won't be taken seriously by the lazier simmers who
dismiss the game out of hand before trying any of the various tweaks. A
unified fix would make life a lot easier for everyone, as well as level the
multiplayer playing field . . .
SCGT was very similar in this regard, unfortunately. For the record, SCGT
feels very good once:
1) the Advance Options patch is used
2) the Speed Sensitivty is set to zero
3) the deadzone is set to zero
4) the controller sensitivity is set very low
Any volunteers to maintain the fix (preferably with some amount of web
space) ?
Ryan
