it's working well so far , that new grafic card , but can not drive yet.....still have an in-car view problem ................... ANYONE????????????????????? Ruud

I have a VII z200 as well, I am using the latest drivers from Diamonds/S3 web site. I can get the game to run very smooth, for about 1/4 of the track, then it starts to thrash the hard drive, and locks up. Always the same spot, every track. I sent an e-mail to S3, and they said the next batch of drivers will fix the problem.... I hope they do, because that first 1/4 of the track is awesome even at high res... Mike. "David R. Thanks for the info, but do you guys use the openGL drive in GPL to or not? What games does it work well on, as we are considering upgrading to that card. GPL, RC2000, N3, F1 2000, SCGT, etc. ???? Doesn't sound good though, that you are having such difficulties with GPL. Can you get the F10 view to work? Frame rates? I'd personally get a V3, but it's my brother's PC, and he plays Q3, Ut, etc. and not interested in a V3. well it does work great with Q3 thats the only one I can get my hands on , it's from my neighbour.........if I spell that right ........ And I got it for GPL .....the only Simulator I have ...... And yes , maybe it had be better to buy the V3 or the upcoming V4 but I know my self .....first buy and than think......sorry for that . But whene i heart from the results from the TNT 2 , i thought.....this one is faster and should do the tric .......wrong ques..... And thats why I'm looking for a driver update that can help me out ......it worked for the TNT so i know it's gonna work for me to no doubt about it ....... And what i wanna know from Mike is ..what kind of drivers he added to his card , there are so many updates .... I own this card and would have to say that the only games that run _reliably_ and quickly are Quake 3 arena and Unreal Tournament. Playing GPL or NFS:PU results in corrupted textures/slow gameplay and colliding textures, respectively. The Voodoo cards will definitely be the most stable although they lack 32bit color in 3d and some other nice eye candy. For the same money I would take a look at a either a TNT2 ultra or a faster Geforce SDR (or a DDR card if you have lots of money) both are manufactured by Nvidia (at least the main chip is). Bummer, eh? Not sure whether he will go for it or not, but I reckon he'd be better off with a TNT2 ultra, no probs with most games with that (except GPL kind of). I think the advantages with it are that you get more bang for your buck, but that depends on whether the game runs or not.
